I mean, here's the deal: does anyone not think Brady+Gronk Brady+Bill is going to be a killer lineup? OK.

Killer, meaning everyone in the world would want to kill them? Well, yes.

I wonder what Patriots fans are going to do with all their free time now that Peyton Manning is no longer around to try to discredit. "But . . . but . . . Peyton Manning was historically bad last season! He had nothing to do with Denver's Super Bowl win! Tom Brady is still the GOAT!"

I can tell you what the ones around me are doing - they're working hard to convince themselves that Garoppalo will be a great successor to their "goat" once he inevitably retires

Frankly, it's one less game to really look forward to each year. Brady vs. Manning was always a great story and their teams had some epic games. Manning was the only QB of Brady's approximate age / generation that could really have any claim at being the best in the NFL, so watching them was great fun. Now it's kind of anticlimactic. 14 years (not counting 2008) with Brady leading to 13 division titles, 10 AFC Championship appearances, 6 Superbowl appearances, and 4 Superbowl victories. Anything more at this stage is a bonus.

Not me. I expect a lot of sustained mediocrity with the occasional good or great season once Brady retires (or even in his last season if he has a noticeable drop-off). You're lucky to have one great dynasty period as a fan of a particular NFL team in a lifetime. Asking for two is just greedy.

Something was missing yesterday. Oh yeah, the presence of one of the most storied franchises in the NFL. Winner of three Lombardi trophies and looking to add a fourth this year. The road to Houston begins in two hours. HTTR! :slayer:

I'm excited for the Rams' first game. The first step on the road to another large fan base hating Stan Kroenke

To what team will local St. Louis fans affiliate? Will they become LA fans? Or will they now be default Chiefs or Bears fans?

Can't run the ball, can't stop the run. At least we chose the right quarterback.
