Feel free to use this threak to discuss your favorite StyleForvm football topics, including but not limited to:

    • How awesome the Redskins will be this year. [IMG] Oh wait we already have another thread for that to more easily mock participants come Christmas time.
    • Conne's only foray into sporting discussion, where his tenuous grasp of NY Giants football and irrepressible need to post merge into a bonanza of Eli-knobslobbery
    • My harping on the awesomeness of this year's Cowboys, only to be dejected by another late season debacle.
    • Etc etc

    Commence.

Doesn't look too good for the Colts. Hope springs eternal, however.

You live in NY but are a Cowboys fan? Sounds pretty suspect.

    Go Eagles![IMG]

What's the local opinion on Donald Brown? I have him in a couple of fantasy leagues.

I became interested in football around 1991, when I was 7. What can I say, I was a front-running little bastard. I can proudly say I stuck with the 'Boys through the last two decades of pathetic results, including what is it, thirteen years without a playoff victory? So in that sense I've earned my fan stripes (stars?).

Well, at least you admit it. Still, as a personal rule I cannot respect someone who has a perfectly good local team and chooses to root for another ("perfectly good" being a bit of a misnomer in this case, of course, as we are talking about the Giants.)

Don't sweat it. I would rather stop watching sports than have the respect of a Philadelphia fan.

Excellent! This has worked out well for both of us then.

I'm hoping this will the season the Falcons string together back-to-back winning seasons for the first time. I've been burned before, so I'm wary, but this is our best shot since Ookie was running around like a crazy person in the backfield.

If Ryan can avoid a sophomore slump our offense could be nasty, but I'm a little concerned about the defense.

As a Mets fan, I am building up years of animosity that will most likely end in ritual suicide/homicide on my next visit to Philly.

Did you hear the Phils won the World Series last year? Was awesome.

Actually have been feeling a bit bad for the Mets lately. Would not have thought it possible, but there it is.

    shitty opinion.

+1, a bit too safe/past-looking for my preference.

I love football because regardless of who wins and loses during the season I get to watch Tony Romo meltdown and the Cowboys implode.

And for the record, the Cowboys will miss the playoffs this year.

Doug Williams not only took the Redskins to the Super Bowl, but they won!

We can all agree there are many excellent black quarterbacks.
