I think you're spot on, certainly my beef with those brands is that"everyone who has them only owns one piece of them" [sic]. I mean if everyone had lots of them, the quality would get better right? [IMG]
exactly. like my hermes belt strap they already worn out i replaced it with my other strap thats why Hermes are genius they separate the buckle and strap so when your strap worns out u dont have to replace the whole thing just a strap from Hermes would do. the more straps u have the less worry that you will run out of straps (it worns out even faster for thinner people as i have stressed the belt more to fit my waist) thats why the Hermes belt is timeless , durable and long lasting

yeah, LV, gucci, prada all make logo stuff, but they also make stuff without LV or GUCCI written all over it.
only vain people wear stuff with LV or the Gucci G print all over their clothes or handbags and that no way is class.
I'd never buy a shirt with logo prints to announce to the world that i am wearing that brand - that is just sad.
yes, a lot of people do that and they think its cool but people just think less of you because you arent being classy.

?????????? Every item of clothing on your blog (yes, I looked) is festooned with logos [IMG]

WHY are people still wearing Gucci, LV? Why didn't Gucci die like it was supposed to in the 90s? Oh yeah Tom Ford saved it. I give Prade credit, they make great shoes but that's about it. Those brands are gimmicks now. Like someone else said, they are worn by people that want to announce to the world that they have money to buy high end clothing. Now if you were serious about wearing high end clothing why would you wear Gucci, LV, or Prada. When you could wear Tom Ford. What is really tragic is when people buy those brands and don't even look good wearing them. If I am going to spend 500 on a shirt, I better look dang good in it.

The thing about these brands is their marketing. They have a good thing going for them. Some, some of their things look ok, but it comes down to the quality not being worth the money. People conscious of that over a label understand this and look elsewhere.

Prada does not make good shoes.

True Prada doesn't make good shoes I was just wanted to say something nice about it. I despise Gucci, LV, Prada, Versace, and Fendi. You are right, a lot of people just buy clothing for the brand and not for quality.

The Search function is ideal for self answering questions like this. Why ask others to waste their time answering your question?

    You write:

" If you could just give a rundown of your knowledge here that'd be more appreciated."

If it is important to you, use your own time.

    What?

    LMAO

    Hermes Man,

Ignore Sanguis, he refuses to see both the incredible innovation and fails to grasp the enormous stress that belts receive from being cinched around a waist smaller than their engineers have designed them to fit. I believe there's a formula somewhere to figure this load out . . .

Another incredible thing that Hermes does, is pre-drill holes in the belt at evenly spaced distances. This eliminates the need for you to have to drive the prong of the buckle through the leather material each time you put the belt on.

not really i came across alot of people like you before who thinks prada, gucci,lv only sell things with logo and everyone who has them only owns one piece of them? (of course i dont deny such person exist normally people who thinks like you, i guess great mind think alike [IMG]

i know many of those people who has the same opinion because they are bitter , well its normal in your old country i guess moving to a "first world country" doesnt change your attitude one bit

typical mentality of people back home when they see a nice "oh must be second hand(used car)" , rented , oh its cheap anyone can own it just need to take 9 years loan to buy it bla bla

always has to say something negative when someone owns something. i guess its the typical ego thing

i hope you are not one those people who took the government loan/scholarship who didt want to return back to the country to honor the contract [IMG]

Wow, that's quite a huge persecution complex on display there to have such pre-concieved assumptions about others... Word of advice. We aren't out to get you... It's actually those brand houses... You're just providing the rest of us here in Styleforum some comedic value...[IMG]

Oh and I almost forgot; knowing the crime situation in Malaysia, make sure mum and dad or your security detail are always around you to deter mugging/ robbers... especially with all those "evil eyes" you were talking about focusing on you.....

he has a gun and apparently a concealed weapons permit...

    Hermes man,

I've been reflecting on what I mentioned yesterday and I somehow think I may have been acting rather immaturely.

You and I have two very different perspectives regarding certain brands and I should probably be respecting that.

In any case I do admit it was due to brand envy and a very long day at work. So my apologies for my rather immature remarks. That being said, I hope you would stick around more and provide some input on the quality of some of the other brands that you're a big fan of. It's always good to have some variety around here.

    Cheers,
