Just to be clear-yoox sends its stuff from italy, so may be its the EU arrangements or something else.

i know they ship over stuff by plane on a daily basis, whether it's by ups or their own method im not sure.

I would personally not use their preprint labels if shipping back light items, it costs about half as much to ship USPS first class 2-3 business days for things such as shirts, accessories.

In the US, Yoox charges a fixed rate - I think it's $6. So unless it's a really small item, it's almost always better to use their preprinted labels.

Ya, and it's $0 if you take yoox credit instead of a refund. If you're just sending back a t-shirt or something, seems like a fool move not to just take the credit.

If I order $1000 worth of stuff (esp. multiple sizes for try-on) and then send back $500-600, i still go ahead and take the refund minus $6. I don't know why I bother, since I just go back and spend it within the same month... security blanket, maybe.

Also, there's opportunity cost. Personally it's well worth $6 for me to just slap a pre-printed label on the box, versus having to write out an address by hand and acquire postage, and/or print my own shipping label. In pure money terms, the time it would take to do the USPS thing is worth more than $6. and especially more than $6 minus $1.84 or whatever a first-class package costs these days.
Is it really worth the extra trouble to save 3 or 4 bucks?

I am exactly the same way! If it's a big ticket order, I think I'll never use the credit, so I pay the $6 shipping. But then I end up ordering more anyway..

And also hit the nail on the head regarding opportunity cost. I figure if I'd shopped at b&m stores, I'd burn that up in gas and my time anyway. Free initial shipping and $6 to ship back is a bargain.

What's this thing about a 15% F/W code? Have you guys received e-mails?

Where did u hear about that? I've done a fair bit of biz with them recently and haven't gotten anything like that.

15% off FW collection plus free shipping (any amount) with your personal code (found at home page on my yoox when you create an account). its a 5-6 digit number. there is also a private viewing of some nice but costly stuff thats coming down the line. nothing i can afford even with the code, but may be able to get one piece of fall staple off my dream box...

Thats where I saw it. However, how do you get the code? I clicked on that banner but I just get redirected to their new collection.

assuming you have account with myoox, on top selection to far left should be button that says "home", the code is on the right side, very small. Alternatively you can call customer service and ask them what your code is over the phone, tell them the webpage is having problem preventing you from seeing it. i have noticed the website is having LOTS problem, dont know if this is a server problem or because i am using an apple.

A question for frequent yooxers- I was looking at yoox in european sites, the same item marked $155 is on sale there for 49 euro!! What the heck! Can I call customer service and ask for a price adjustment??????

Superstar status is granted based on your ratio of orders vs returns, that was the explanation I've received. The more you return the less is the chance of you getting the special status.
