    i was introduced to teh
    owner of 'passagio cravatte'
    another maker of bespoke ties
    who specialises in 'brighter'
prints and wovens with a 'vintage feel'

    i initially ordered a grenadine
and a soft italian cashmere regimental
however there was a problem -
    the cashmere was made up
    in an unlined 7 fold....
.. and the fabric was not suited
for such a construction - it tended
    to open up.
so it is now being remade
    as a 4 fold unlined.

the owner also had a few
    vintage silks and wools
    which i subsequently ordered
    and received.

back of the vintage wool in what he calls
    '7 fold unlined'
which only has the wool interlining
    around the neck

    a normal untipped 7 fold

construction is all very well done
    except for the initial cashmere
    i ordered.

I'm not a fan of unlined constructions really, but some of those fabrics are delicious. The middle two especially.

    never odd or even

Confirming suspicions that you must be physically aroused by clothing in order to get into the inner circle. I will never look at seven folds the same way again.

T4 - I'd love to see that cashmere in person - it looks very unique.

So, at the blade it has 7 fold, but the middle has like... 10 folds? I am losing count here.

Just before Christmas my first Passaggio tie arrived. Wearing it for the first time today. Made from a vintage cashmere. The ties are made in Naples in the old Marinella workroom. IMO workmanship and construction are very nice, comparable to my Cappelli's.

9 more ties are in the process of being made :slayer:. Passaggio can be contacted through their site (see OP), or via facebook. Ask for the collection of vintage silks and woolens, if that's your kind of thing. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100003006887368

Really nice ties. #2 in the original post is my personal favorite but I would wear any of the first four. The last two don't fit my own personal taste but they're all very well made and look great.
