I loved SimCity 4. However, I am a nerd who has a graduate degree in urban and regional planning, so I may be a bit biased...

That being said, I agree that SimCity 2000 was the best in the series.

Man, this thread has me wanting to dust off some SC2000 and play the heck out of it. I know there's an iOS version of some sort of SimCity -- maybe it's 2000? Does anyone have experience with it? Is it a decent adaptation? The touch screen interface doesn't strike me as being extremely well suited to SC, but I'm willing to give it a shot if anyone endorses it.

Press, blogs, or App Store? Nine times out of ten, bad App Store ratings are just people's bitching about the price. Folks seem to throw hissy fits if a game is priced above $0.99 these days.

Time to hit teh Googles, I suppose.

You can't build more than a small town on the iPhone one. The performance is so poor that you'd rather start the game over again. I don't get playing games on Facebook. I have a hard enough time trying to use Facebook, much less play a game in it.

I have the iPhone version and have read the complaints about all the crashes but I never experienced that problem...
