The white Gap jeans came today. I bought 31X32's. They feel SLIGHTLY big in the waist for being 31's. Length is great. Overall, I'm really happy with them. If anyone cares, I can get the actual waist measurement of the 31's.

    I highly recommend them.

    Fit pics please.

size down at least 2. my 32/32 measures 35 at the waist wtf......

Have you ever bought jeans from the GAP before. If so, did the 32/32s you buy differ from the regular 32/32s you bought from the GAP before.

I just bought the new white GAP jeans today - they are bloody brilliant! I wear a 30x30 in most Levis, but a 31x30 in these. Sorry, never tried GAPs before, so can't help with that comparison.

This is boggling my mind more - lol. I am a 29 at The GAP. I have not bought Levis in a while but I tried on the 514s recently (I believe they were 514s) and I needed a 30 because it was tight. FYI the Levis were not raw. Thanks, for the input though.

I ordered a pair of the Elevated low rise skinny jeans in 28x28. The waist measures 30, or a bit larger so I'll be returning them. The length is good though and they seemed pretty nice to me, though I have no experience with high(er)-end denim. I really like the fit through the leg and length, but due to the large waist, I have to return them. I find it strange that, of the current Gap selvage jeans, the skinny ones are "dry clean only" while the others aren't. Oh, also, the page says zip fly, but it's actually button fly.

From WAYWT for a comparison. I sized down 1 (28) for reg ralf and got true to size (29) for Gap denim elevated low rise. Maybe this will help some.[IMG]

[IMG] I thought I would give the new gap raw selvage denim a try, got it on sale. Maybe they will fade somewhat decent.

I tried these white babies on in the 5th ave store in NYC this week. Thought they looked great. I wear a 34 and the waist was pretty spot on. Maybe felt a tad (1/2)" larger than the last low rise straight fits I bought.

I should have bought these when they were 35% off in the beginning of Jan. Will probably pick these up at some point.

From my search it seems hard to find these in many stores these days.

Don't take this to the bank for this year's particular styles, but I have always found Gap to size their jeans based on one's actual waist measurement.

For example, if I measure my true waist (an inch or so above belly button) and get 29.5", a size 29 or 30 Gap jean will usually fit me. If they are designed to sit low, Gap adds in the extra amount where needed. I have some old low-rise jeans from Gap that are tagged 29 but fit easily at my hips (which are obviously larger than 29"... probably more like 30.5 or 31"). I don't think that was from stretching either.

When in doubt, go to a freakin store and try them on. That is the main difference between them and all the other denim-head brands. Most people have a Gap nearby... novel, eh?

I would try on the Gap in store to see how it fits. I have a pair of Gap 1969 jeans in straight leg from a couple years ago and the waist stretched out an extra 1 to 1.5 inches. So from my experience I would size down 1.

Plus, buying an returning is stupid easy. They give you like 90 days or something. You're out a few bux for return shipping, but you got to spend $$ to make $$.

Not sure how accurate my measuring technique is, but the upper thigh (at the crotch) measures about 10 inches. Leg opening is about 7.25 inches. On me they fit like a nice slim fit through the leg, not by any means skinny. Of course, I'm a pretty skinny guy and the waist doesn't actually fit me, so I imagine they would be pretty tight on most people for whom they fit properly.

I just compared my new white selvage low rise straight fit to a pair of aged blue LR-ST that I bought from Gap in Aug '08. The length of the white pair are about 1 inch shorter than the blue pair (both marked 34x30). When I first tried them on had an inkling they were shorter....The pair I bought a few days later was from a different Gap and they shorter as well. So it doesn't seem like a one-off thing.

Anyone else notice this? Maybe its just for the white pair?
