Not really. I like the guy too. He did the worst thing you can do in modern society which is to tell the world how you really feel.

In this instance, he basically said he's fine coasting if it means saving his body for later in life. You can lie you way into claiming context and other such bullshit bur the reality is this is how he really feels. Jimmy Butler scored a career high 32 tonight with his sore thumb while captain Sit-Out was protecting his sore fingernail for age 50.

For Derrick, you're caught in a situation where you need to take less to play if your wish to be a body saver is to last. If you want to continue to earn 20mil like this, at least give some of it to Jimmy Butler, the kid who really has the mentality of a pro who will sacrifice for success.

In other news: Golden State is impressive.

I know the Cavs' season isn't going as well as they had hoped but did Kevin Love really have to join the jihad?

Rudy Gay has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the Kings.

not sure why he would agree to this deal. making $20 million this year alone. as a kings fan im not complaining

Coaches that I wouldn't mind seeing fired if their teams keep playing the way they're playing at the All-Star break:

    Brian Shaw
    Byron Scott
    Scott Brooks

Byron Scott is doing an outstanding job. Number 1# pick is a lock.

Kobe is putting on a show though tonight - I wonder if maybe his current FG% is just due to rust from the lack of game action in 2 years?

Well, unlike some other teams they don't have to struggle with the crippling fear of losing their emerging superstars to free agency.
    So there's that.

Kobe is a fantasy machine if he can get that FG % up a touch.

Went to the Dubs @ Lakers game last night. Got everything I wanted. Kobe to put on a show, and for the Dubs to demolish anyways.

Biggest problem for the Lakers, aside from terrible defense and injuries and general lack of talent, is that there's no motion on offense. When I can follow everything that's happening on the court, there's a problem. Lin dribbles a bit, no one sets a good pick (I've seen better screens in my crappy pick up games), then passes to Kobe and everyone continues to stand around and watch.

    ^ yea i agree
still I think Kobe takes some really forced and terrible shots, it could maybe better in long run if he tries to distribute more while they search for dleaguers who can make layups in the NBA. If he will pass more, they will move more.

I have him blended with some really high percentage guys in the league I have him in, so he's really not hurting me. I didn't plan it that way, just sorta walked into it.
