I spend 6 months a year in Australia.

I love NBA scouts/teams. All hot and heavy for guys that you have no idea how their skills will translate to the NBA (and pick guys like Levine who needs to add 50 pounds before he can play in the NBA) but pass on a guy like PJ Hairston, who lit up the D League, where the competition is more NBA like than anything the college kids face. He already has an NBA body and game and is only 21.

    Raptors pick some Brazilian nobody.

OKC must draft Napier. What a steal.

I don't get Exum. We know literally nothing about him.

They need a guy good at setting picks?

Awesome. Its clear to me this guy has a ton of talent.

Napier to Charlotte. Great help for Kemba. What a steal. And stupidly send it to Miami. Wow. How idiotic.

from what I've seen he reminds me of a young (like duke freshman young) Grant Hill.

Seriously, it beggars belief. He should have gone 10 places ago. Jesus Miami are lucky.

how would Napier help Kemba  At best, they are the same player.

McGary is a huge body to bang, rebound, defend, and is a good passer. Look at what happened to OKC when Ibaka went down and how old is Perkins, 50? The only better pick they could have made was probably a Pj Hairston, a big two guard. But hopefully he falls down to the Knicks.

They played together at UConn. Napier off the bench. Ease some handling duties from Walker. Lots of upside for that team. It was a really bad move to send him to a contender, regardless of what you needed.

McGary: lots of big bodies left that can do more. Kyle Anderson. Even Early. Fuck, how is he still there?

Damn, either Early or Kyle Anderson may drop to Spurs. I could totally see Pop wondering how Early fell in his lap. OKC would be stupid to pass on him. But knowing SA, they'll select a guy we don't expect.

Not sold on Exum. Has he played against any talent that's even close to what he'll face in the NBA? He's one of those international guys who can't shoot but has a great/prototypical/athletic body. To be fair, it's a good pick for Utah because all the top guys are gone and it's not a bad idea to roll the dice, but he's just as likely to bust as become a superstar

I'm happy with the Napier pick/trade. Guy's a winner, a stabilizing force, and mature enough to contribute at a position that the Heat have sucked at. Really hope they've caught lightning in a bottle.

On a related note, I challenge anyone to find a nba team that's drafted worse throughout history than Miami. The only stars they've found since franchise inception have been Glen Rice and Dwyane Wade. Then we've got two solid guys in Kurt Thomas and Caron Butler and then.....nada

exam can't handle, shoot, defend or rebound but good lateral foot speed, tremendous upside
