they did seem to give up around the 5 minute mark. down 13 and no sense of urgency. Amare looked pretty good though, maybe he contributes later this series

Hibbert (another fine Georgetown product) was the difference. surprised the Knicks didn't try to get him in foul trouble, which is his biggest weakness

Unfortunately the knicks relied on the 3 all season and it shows in the playoffs when the typical players who make those shots aren't making any. When melo isn't hot, the other guys haven't been able to step it up this round. JR should never have received that 6-man trophy, so he would stay focused rather than go to meatpacking with Rihanna. Also it wouldn't hur if these guys could grab a board here and there. This team needs more obvious leadership on the floor, and despite my avatar, Amare is useless and past his prime, that said his contract has our hands tied

I'm surprised you say this. They're not a good playoff team, reason below.

I had him all fantasy season, what a dog until about 2/3 thru. Hibbert is too awkward to be elite but can deliver occasionally. I'm surprised he did it against Chandler who stuffed him all season. Hibbert picks up fouls the way hookers pick up aids. Credit him, he balled yesterday. Ugly ass game.

Exactly. You can only win 3 ball when they fall above a certain %. In the playoffs, clear shots are hard to come by and the % goes down. They've got enough talent to adjust their style but this unit just isn't that great of a team in general. Lest anyone believe you can win a championship with Carmelo, save your tissues.

Smith won 6th man because of his late season form. People call him streaky? Nah, he's just got a shit attitude and takes games off.

Dubs! Came out playing really terribly, as usual, and JJ saves us in the 4th!

Screw Jalen and Magic, counting out the Dubs at halftime and saying there wouldn't be any more games left to play in Oakland. Didn't even own up to it after the game.

I'm pissed off, ABC got cut off with less 2 minutes left. Channel returned and the Dubs were already winning with a minutes left in OT. It was the best game of the weekend and I missed the best part.

Bogut had some really good offensive rebounds in the second half, Huge asset to their playoffs effort

He'll get injured in the first half of the next game.

AND I'm glad the Warriors are doing well. A TEAM.

It was a quip. You're not aware of his injury history?

The Curry-Lee GSW team were a fading 6th seed there to make up the numbers. The return of a fit, motivated Bogut (and, if we're being honest, the subtraction of defensive sieve Lee) has made this team what Mark Jackson probably had in mind when the Warriors made the trade to ship out Ellis and bring in Bogut. The defense and toughness is so much better, the offence runs through the perimeter guys instead of having to play your turn-my turn with Lee in the post, Bogut is a good passer and can catch and finish when he's left open due to a perimeter player's penetation, and with the lane and more shot opportunities opened up Harrison Barnes has become who he was drafted to be.

I really hope they can hang onto Jarrett Jack for next season. If they can't they should probably go shopping for a similar veteran guard like Luke Ridnour, but the chemistry with Jack is so good it would be a shame to break up the band. The real question is do they try and shop David Lee after seeing how this team works without him.

Not making it out of this round is good for them, they'll learn that they can't slack off and expect an easy W, maybe make the organization realize what weaknesses they have and make adjustments to the roster accordingly. Unfortunately Amare's contract will limit this, but as long as they keep improving every season, I'm ok with it. After a decade of DISASTER in ny, theres no other town more thirsty for a championship, but always remember what Sonny said, if mickey mantle don't care about you, why care about him?

I'm well aware, which is why I think comments about injuries are in bad taste, or at least comments that wish injury upon a player, which is how I read it.
