Spurs with 95pts and leading by 38 points and there's still 8 minutes left in the game.

well ibaka really sucked for a few months in the beginning so i wouldnt be surprised if deandre jordans was #1 in blocking.

also the same reason why i wouldlnt given it to ibaka

i thought howard should've taken it. i took a look at the stats and dwight ranks lower on win shares, but higher on defensive win shares, defensive rating, rebounds, and blocks.

also even though ibaka sucked in teh beginning for quite a few months he had at the end of the regular season 241 blocks to deandre jordans 135. ridiculous

Well Ibaka wasn't really that terrible in the beginning, he was still their main defender and he was really only terrible the first month, while Chandler and the Knicks were only good the last 2 months. Plus considering that the Thunders defense relies on Ibaka and Perkins and Perkins has majorly sucked this year (lost all that weight and power to go with it) it was pretty much all on Ibaka to defend the paint. Keep in mind their lock-up defender was hurt in Thabo so that was even more defensive weight bearing on Ibaka. And the Thunder is a very, very good team in comparison to Chandler and the Knicks so I think Ibaka is a much better choice.

That will be my only bag on Kobe post. Until/unless we play the Lakers.

Maybe they'll figure it out in Utah.

ibaka only really picked up in february (ridiculous double digit blocks 3 times that month). in december and most of january he was pretty bad. mid single digits for rebounds and points. there was one game i remember where he was on court for the whole game and basically pulled the same thing. and then he lost minutes to perkins, but then he got beastly and got his minutes back.

i agree with you knicks were only good the last 2 months, but chandler was basically the only real defender besides shumpert until woodson stepped in and everybody else decided to pick up on defense

Honestly, if LeBron is a POS for flopping and the 'decision' I don't know what it makes a bunch of Lakers players. LeBron's crying is one thing, but he never gets into legal trouble or engages in malicious play.

With that said, you can't ask for an easier trip to the finals for the Heat. It is practically given to them. In the west, I see it as OKC or the Lakers since Bynum is absolutely beasting right now.

Nah, Ibaka started getting double digit rebounds and incresed his blocking average mid January. Even if you count down their good games from the end of the season back, Ibaka played much better for a longer time.

Bynum beasted on Spurs 1st game. Then he was neutralized remaining 2. I see it as depth vs. length. And that goddamn Kobe. :)

looks like a throwback Heat - Knicks game tonight. great defense and bad shooting. lotsa chippiness but they don't flat-out HATE each other like the 90's teams did.

that prissy ref (who ejected rondo) and constantly makes himself part of the game is doing the Mavs OKc game....

he's already handed out two technicals (one was a blatant miss-call).

unfortunately, yes. especially with Rose's injury having taken a lot out of the Bulls. Not looking good for Dallas tonight either...
