That's probably why it was so easy to hear chants of "HEN-RIK" as the MSG feed went to break just now.

The final period of the leafs game was the biggest fucking blue balls ever. I've been waiting 9 fucking years, and this is what I get?

    Some observations:
TO can't resist taking digs at Vancouver:
This summed up the Rangers in Game 6 and 7 and hopefully moving in to the next round against Boston:

    And of course:

The Rangers will have their work cut out against Boston. The Bruins are tough as nails, and I think we have a hard time against that, though Washington wasn't soft by any means. Our PP needs to be much better, as when the Bs goon in up we need to make them pay as does our PK, because we need to stand up for ourselves and fight back to their thuggery, and we need to kill those penalties. Lucic and Nash should be interesting too...I hope he waked up now. I can feel him being a difference maker.

Boston will be tough, but I feel fairly confident that the Rangers can win the series. The Bruins haven't exactly been at the top of their game for the past one or two months, while the Caps came in flying high with a clear MVP candiate, strong goaltending, and the wins to show for it. The Caps played a fast and aggressive style that the Rangers sometimes had a lot of trouble with, but I think the Bruins will be more their speed.

The one player we could really use aginst the Bruins is Clowe.

Well Leaf fans should be proud of how their guys played for all but game 1 and the last 10 minutes of game 7.

They played with lots of heart, something our Canucks have been lacking for a while. Especially tough since this is not the 2011 Boston Bruins out there.

A meltdown for the ages though.

Anchorman meme is funny I must admit. But to be technical it was people from Surrey that tried to burn the city down in '11, there is a limited gene pool on the south side of the Port Mann Bridge.

also, the Bruins d-line is pretty banged up, at least 2 or 3 guys are out. The opening game schedule will favor them with recovery time (first game Thursday, second game Sunday), but it could be something for the Rangers to take advantage of. I'd guess that Chara will be on Nash duty leaving the rest of the defensemen having to deal with the likes of Callahan and Brassard (two players that could really use Chara attention if the B's plan to keep them scoreless).
