I bought from Sausages once - very satisfied, and would do so again.

I can second the use of this Seller and I know some members here have used him. I used to deal with him a fair bit (until financial crisis hit).

Below is what he's currently got up for sale/auction.

    8.5-9k ish at full retail

Prices (shipped) below, to the best of my memory. (If not exact, this is very close.) All were new, except for the Wigmores, which were close to it (bought from SF member mta265). Some of the prices are attributable to package deals.

Looks like the total was $5,958. Ouch.

    Come on!

6 pages of replies to a "spending spree" that cost only $9K at retail [IMG]

I forget sometimes why Styleforum is becoming less interesting everyday.........[IMG] GTFO with all this smalltimer shit [IMG]

How did you get all these at such good prices?????
Maybe I'm just off but I thought Vass and GG were 2x the prices you show.

Never bought from sausages but he's very prompt. I pointed out an error on one of his shoes (GM and one shoe had metal eyelets and the other without) and he immediately lowered the price. However, he failed to note this on the listing. I felt he should've because unless if you are nit picky like myself, most would not . . . notice.

Anyway. He does have nice items

    Cheers

am really glad that recent threads bring out things like that. i helps to avoid train wrecks...

OK, got some photos up (in the original post on Page 1). Sorry it's not top-quality porn, but I was rushed.

Yikes. I get paid most of my income for the year in January of the next year. So, as usual, I found myself with a little money in January. Well, this year I went completely bonkers. I have lost 65 lbs over the past several years, and really needed to update my wardrobe. (Went from a 48L to a 42L.) So I got some new suits and shirts . . . and this started a chain reaction, leading to the following total meltdown in March:

Vass - Old English Oxford U-last (black)
Vass - Asquith U-last Oxford (cognac) (from SF Member msawch)
Vass - Plain Derby U-last (black) (from SF Member Tombrone)

Gaziano & Girling - St. James Oxford (cedar)
Gaziano & Girling - Hayes Oxford (black)

Sutor Mantellassi - Norvegese Monk (dark oak)

C&J Handgrade - Audley Oxford (dark oak)

    C&J - Westbourne Oxford (mahogany)
C&J - Maidstone Monk (dark chocolate)
C&J - Wigmore Oxford (slightly used) (brown) from Member mta265
    C&J - Weymouth Oxford (brown)

    Allen Edmonds - Strand (walnut)
    Allen Edmonds - McAllister (merlot)
Allen Edmonds - MacNeil (black cordovan)

Alfred Sargent - Burlington Slip-On (black) (discontinued, been looking for these for over a year)

    Clark's Desert Boots (loden suede)
    Clark's Desert Boots (taupe suede)

Gola - soccer shoes (navy suede)
Gola - soccer shoes (gray suede)

If I had been able to find the right EGs or Lobbs, I'd have bought them too. There's literally a sort of blackout period, of which I have only the haziest memory of tequila and credit cards, at the end of which I have all these shoes, no money whatsoever, and am sleeping on the couch because my wife says she is waiting to slit my throat while I sleep. I think the only way I could sink to a lower eschelon of fiscal responsibility would be to become a member of Congress.

Of course, it was worth it. [IMG]

If anybody's interested, I'd be happy to round them all up and take a picture. In the near future, I will be selling my entire closet's worth of 48/46 stuff to help cover the damage. Probably one of the kids, as well.

Per several requests, here are some (not very good) photos.

I always have maintained that Tequila is good for you. It gives you a lucidity of thought that is only further exemplified by this wonderful selection of shoes. The spouse problem is another matter.....sleep with one eye open...

wow, nice haul... but if I may say, why pay $300 for AE's when they're so easily available for half that or less, even in new condiiton?!
I agree with this. I have never owned nor been truly interested in a pair of AEs but I have seen several pop-up on the bay and B&S for around half off of retail.
I bought from Sausages once - very satisfied, and would do so again.
I feel comfortable buying from a man who goes by the name "sausages." I have been eying his shoes for some time and I may make a purchase just to say that I bought from someone who identifies themselves as a cured, chopped meat product.

Yes, they were a real surprise. I saw some on HauteLook I liked, but not in my size, so I tracked these down. I love them. Size up ½ size, though--they run a little small.

So .... Some of you might remember this (mostly jolly) thread from a few years back recounting my "epic shoe bender." Unfortunately, I have since retired on disability after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. All is well, I had insurance! But now that my life has taken a very different turn, I no longer need a law license, let alone handmade "big firm" clothes, but I do need to pay bills, so I am in the process of divesting myself of the entire "haute" wardrobe I accumulated over the course of my career. Thus, all of the shoes in this thread will be going up for sale in the appropriate SF thread. (The Vass Derby just went up, in fact.) But, as preparing the Vass post demonstrated, that process will take a very long time, because I no longer have reliable use of my hands to operate a camera or a keyboard. If you're interested in any of the shoes shown in the thread, please feel free to PM me. In addition to finding a happy home for some these beautiful shoes, and making a dent in my medical bills, it might save me the several hours it would take me to photograph them and post a thread.

In the meantime, I'll be posting them as I'm able, and I wish you all sartorial happiness from the comfort of my sweatpants and fuzzy slippers.

    Cheers,

    2ManyShoes (not for long!)

Damn, 2Many, I'm really sorry to hear that. I wish I knew what to say, but I wish you the best.

I work for a website that posts eBay roundups twice a week. If you decide to list the shoes on eBay, drop me a PM and I'll include the links in our roundup. Hopefully it'll drive some traffic to your auctions. You have some nice shoes.

hey, just starting out with newer quality shoes so I may be interested in several pair. Currently I have less expensive shoes that are all size 11D but I am quickly finding out that the higher end shoes I can wear a much smaller size. They need to measure at least 12.5 inches in length and I'll take a few of them off your hands!! Thanks!
