will probably give them a wash soon.

So here is some updates, not wearing these as much as I could - but the good thing about that is that they should last longer.

    Nothing too special.

As they are from camera, no white balance / color / contrast adjustment

Those are way too early for a wash in my opinion. Also... This thread is dead.

Is there anything in particular I should be concerned with if I want to taper my 702s? Is it going to wreck the selvedge somehow?

It certainly could if you use a tailor not familiar with selvedge. I would use a place like Railcar to do the work to ensure it is done correctly

So am I. Wearing them today inside with A/C. Have had them for 3 1/2 months now with about 2 months of effective wear. Fades are coming a little slow as I'm on my butt most of the day.

the thing to remember is that to keep the selvedge intact - you will have to specify to the tailor that you want them tapered only using the inseam and to leave the outseam as it is.

this will lose you the pink inseam, so make sure to request that the tailor reuses or replaces the pink/peach inseam thread.

Thanks for the info, especially w/r/t the seams. I'll probably take them over to Self Edge tomorrow and see what they can do.

I'm out. Just sold my 0702. Fit wasn't what I was looking for and I found the jeans hard to combine with my wardrobe. Possibly due to the pink inseam stitch which disturbed me a bit.

Going for another pair of Deep Indigo's, but not Momo. The jeans itself were great though.

I know, but I didn't wear them enough for those exact reasons. So I let them go.

Mind you, I'm not turning my back against Momotaro. They make the best jeans known to men, in my opinion. But they didn't work for me. I was looking for a fit close to my 0701, which was possible if I sized down.

I tried that though and the outcome was, they didn't fit.
I'm looking at some PBJ's at the moment.

Having been there, PBJ deeps are spectacular while very different from the Momotaros, particularly in weight and texture. Enjoy them though! I still love my 009s.

i think the pink inseam in more imposing on the dark weft momos in comparison to the indigo/white

I'm actually not sure if I prefer my PBJ's vs the BOM005's I picked up from Jay. Both are excellent, just almost complete opposites in terms of denim characteristics.. Is. Slubbiness, weave density, drape, etc.

What was wrong with your Momo fit?
