Does anyone know a good place online for such for a modest price of £40 or £50?

I got a great fine herringbone one last year from Charles Tyrwhitt but alas they can't get it again this year... and I lost it on a rather hectic night out.

Marks and Spencer do a reasonabllllle quality one for the money but it is too dark a grey (although I have the claret one)

Does anyone know what the quality and thickness is like on Brook Taverner scarves? The grey looks nice, but lambswool may give too thick of a scarf

I'm saving up for this one:

on the grounds that I already have a couple scarves, so the next one should be so good I can rid myself of my existing ones.

More "stuff" isn't what I need.

Or perhaps to a small, niche store like "A Suitable Wardrobe Shop" for a very nice one, cashmere on one side, ancient madder on the other:

Though I wish it were blue, not green. Just have to wait on this one.

+ J don't have the colour I'm after I think, but I was not aware of +J, some fantastic coats... I can't wait to visit the store in London

I might give this a go too, though it is a lot of money at the moment

The Begg ones I mentioned are really nice, and they're longer too. I would get the Johnston one from STP myself if it were longer. Make sure you get the length you want.

I've had a few scarves from CT, and the medium grey one I'm replacing was from there and very nice indeed. I also had a burgundy and navy check too. £80 for the pair -

Below is the navy and burgundy check, and a fawn coloured CT scarf in a small herrigbone, both cashmere. The blue and green check (looks more green IRL) is lambswool from Pakeman and Catto

I got this today, and while I was aware it was only 59" in length, in practice I think this is too short. A Parisian knot looks too short (and I have a 15.5" neck) although a once around looks fine....

I think I'll keep looking, although the colour of the scarf is perfect (pics to come) and the quality is good, though not as good as my old Charles Tyrwhitt one

Since this is no longer the modestly priced gray scarf thread but more of a free-for-all...

Looking for something in a good bottle green. Any suggestions on where to turn?
