This book is definetly a 70s classic. My older brother had it too. If i remember well, there is a Rod Stewart sketch that is not too off topic...
Pellaert did some LPs covers too. Bowie's Diamond dogs comes to mind.

    Indeed , a horrendous picture . .

The other stuff looks a bit better. The Oo pic reminded me of some of the portraits used on the Face Dances album, although those ones are not as good. .

Don't remember seeing this one on here yet

I think we've seen the tall lad on the left on other pictures. 1970 suedeheads?
Lots of interesting clobber in different colors. Could it be Doc martens shoes on the guy in jeans (the soles look brown) ?
Looks like spring/summer (lots of sunglasses), but the lad with the white sta-press seems to still wear his crombie...

I dont remember seeing that picture before Clouseau, but the lad on the left ( check shirt and sunglasses ) is in a picture put up by Bunty last February...lots of different clothes being worn that would have been worn over an 18 month / 2 year period here, some of the green / brown Levi sta prest "tonics" maybe ?..surprised that theres not a Harrington there.

This may sound stupid but what do you wear under a roll neck. I was recently wearing a shirt under and thanks to the collar it was a nightmare. It sort of rolled over the collar. Maybe cos it's a thin jumper this happened. But I was thinking just wearing a t-shirt underneath would also be no good as it's fucking freezing here at the moment. Any tips?

I was recently in Paris and as well as seeing basically no one with 'the look' I also noticed that virtually no one men anyway put anything in their hair (gel, wax etc) Any french comrades know the score on this?

Just got this vintage ben and was very surprised to find that the it has an open box pleat rather than a finished one like I thought all of them had back in the day. Can anyone tell me if this was common at that time? Also, no darts.

Speaking of myself, i never wore any "gel". And i guess that it's not "à la mode" nowadays, that explain why you didn't see any people with glue in their hair.
About "the look", don't forget it's very cold and rainy actually in Paris and most people (including myself, my Crombies are on the shelf) wear ugly but practical outerwear.
Anyway it's France and not England, you'll see more "Minets 's" descendants than Suedeheads...
About thin but warm underwear, try Uniqlo Heattech.

    Damart Thermawear.

Or you could do a George Harrison and wear a shirt over your roll-neck.

I think you will find that 'Under Armour' or something similar will do the job. If very cold you can wear two layers.
