Yeah, it's where I used to go to and direct other people. Now, it's gone and I can't find it anywhere.

1960s Bostonian Iron Age Makers... longwing brogue with steel toe caps. One of those things that weren't around 'back in the day', but should have been.

I'm really into the idea of steel toe brogues & am bound to get a pair some day, ideally these.

Yep, took them a little more than an hour to get to it.

If anyone wants a watch, PM me.

You've got quite a lot of time to think about it, but the quicker the better for the travel arrangements.

    The Paris meet-up, Saturday 28 January 2017

As usual we will probably meet in a Pub at noon (well we call them Café here) then visit some interesting areas. It will be during the winter sales, so a bit of shopping is possible.

PM me if you are interested.

    Cheers
    C.

One thing that is possible to see clearly in this version is the four guys being interviewed. The guy in that back,Black hair white shirt and pants, black braces. You can clearly see his Tattoo's on both his forearms.

The evolution of 'yoof' culture: Brutus current 'models' include an aging skinhead complete with tatts - I imagine this would have been unthinkable in 69!

These are said to be the original DM boots, in brown (they are not for sale). Original AirWair are much rarer than Hawkins.

You'll notice the original tags that were re-issued a few years ago on DM MiE vintage collection.

Thanks Clouseau. They look somewhat slimmer than the modern 1460 model, more or less the way Solovair makes them now. Though of course pictures can be deceptive.

Worn by a mate the other day: American WW2 jump boots.

Way back, Lasttye described the 1968-69 uniform of the Kilburn mob as "donkey jackets and jungle greens, cherry red commando boots and heavy cardigans"

I wonder if these might be the cherry red commando boots he meant?

Think that is one of there oxford shirts, i wouldn't bother buying one if anyone is thinking of getting one cos the collar is too small, jump the gun too a better one in oxford with a bigger collar.
