Grazie! But I think only non-patch breast pockets are referred to as "barchettas"? I've always heard patch pockets referred to in Italian as "tasche a toppa" - never as barchettas. But it's possible that barchetta can refer to both. Perhaps someone more informed can weigh in on this.

You do realise you have just now cursed the poor people at Marinella with a influx of rude tourists demanding their free pocket square because they read about it on SF? :p :laugh:



i had the same treatment after chatting to señor Marinella for a while he handed a me a pocket square as a gift. A very nice gesture that I was expecting at all.
