    Hello,

I just started searching for quality shoes. These three brands offer acceptable price and the style I want, pointed toe not rounded like AE. Can anyone compare the quality of these three brand? I read lots of threads (but I am a newbee), my understanding is that cheaney is on par with Meermin linea Maestro. Carmina's overall quality is one notch above the other two because of better details and finishing which is also reflected on the price tag. However, Meermin linea Maestro is hand welted so it also has some advantages. Am I right? There are not much info about cheaney, but some members mentioned Cheaney is steps ahead AE and one notch below Carmina.

You've pretty much got it right. Carmina tops both levels of Meermin and Cheaney, IMO. If you have the money, I would look into their Rain or Simpson lasts...sounds like the shape you're after.
