Something weird with that design. Adjuster placement looks off to me, it shouldn't be at the same place as the belt loops. But I guess it's a customer request so....

What fabric is that exactly? I would like to add it to my wish list of trouser fabrics.

Should be placed on waistband seam normally, but not possible with belt loops (which I don't see the point of having).

But what would you wear these with (at risk of restarting the navy pents debate)?

A nice tan sportcoat in a summer weight would look nice. (Northern Lights effect not withstanding)

I agree that I wouldn't order both belt loops and side adjusters, but I'm sure the requester had some reason for it. I prefer the adjusters on the waistband rather than on the seam... if they are on the seam and they are cinched they can create a weird flare out effect on the waistband.

I have no reservations for navy pants if the fabric is sufficiently textured.

I'd wear it with grey, tan, brown, olive, yellow (yes, I have one)

Hello @luxire . I am interested in purchasing my first pair of trousers through Luxire. I am looking for relatively lightweight (270-280 grams) flannels in all shades of grey, navy and/or brown. What are my best options? How long do the trousers typically take?

    Thanks,

    KWV

Am not Luxire, but would not suggest truly lightweight flannels. I think flannel needs to be at least 11-12 ounces to drape decently and look right. It's a fall / winter trouser, so I think it would look very bizarre in a flimsy weight. If you are open to heavier weights, I think their Hunt and Winterbotham range is very nice (12 ounce flannel). Not everyone is in a climate that works for 14+ ounce flannel regularly, but I think most climates where flannel is appropriate one can work with a 12 ounce trouser.

I think it's the maroon gingham flannel - sold out unfortunately.

Are the Hunt & Winterbotham flannels woolen or worsted flannels?

    Thanks,

This are the trousers to my Luxire suit. Initially I requested a loop to keep the fastened adjuster from sticking away from the waistband but then I opted for the entire shebang and asked for both the adjuster and belt loops. Gives me the chance to either go with or without belt.

Here are a couple more teasers of my jacket:

Vent finishing done the old way: Notice how the lining extends to the edge of the folded vent. This can only be achieved by hand.

Were most manufacturers would opt for a machine stitch, Luxire created the edge stitching on the underside of the flap entirely by hand. Also tons of pick stitching along the facing edge.

except that if you don't wear a belt...now with belt loops...it will always look off and people will think you forgot to wear a belt...so even with side adjusters...you will always have to wear a belt...

I wear trousers, even dress trousers, without a belt. It's wild stuff. ;-)

I think I'm going to have to pick up a pair of trousers in the midweight Minis fresco. I note it is a wool mohair blend.

    Any thoughts on it?

If you're wearing your jacket, it's unlikely that anyone will ever see...

Won't the side adjusters push the belt out into a weird bump on the side of the pants though?

When measuring a pair of trousers, how far up from the crotch seam intersection do you measure the half-hip? I realize that measuring from the waistband would be different on trousers of different rises.
