Any support out there for some brown/white and grey/white dress shirt fabrics? My searches never seem to reveal much that I find desirable in these colours.

Some not-too-dark university, bengal, or dress stripes would be ideal for me but I might have interest in some faint graph checks as well.

It's time to put an order in for the Sic-Tess White Blue Hairline Stripes:
http://custom.luxire.com/collections/dress-shirts/products/white_blue_hair_line_stripes

I'm going with a button down. With this shirt, I want to have a collar and cuffs that have enough structure to avoid collapsing under the weight of a sweater or jacket. I would go with a light fused interlining for both collars and cuffs, but I don't think a fused button down collar sounds like a good plan. My light lined unfused collars don't hold form well when worn under a jacket, so I'm thinking medium-stiff unfused collar and light fused cuffs. Any thoughts?

tl;dr version:
medium-stiff, unfused button down collar and light, fused cuffs - stupid or not?

go unfused, lightly lined

Thanks, Wade, I appreciate all input. But I have a Luxire shirt that is unfused and lightly lined. It doesn't have enough structure, even being a medium weight cloth. This lighter wight cloth would be worse.

If it were to be worn purely without a jacket or sweater, I'd agree with your suggestion of a light unfused lining 100%.

Luxire mentioned they changed their default collars a while ago and based on my last order definitely not as stiff as they use to be but still have a good amount of structure in them - very much like the change. Perhaps that could be the go?

I'm looking to get a bunch of shirts done with tab collars similar to those Tom Ford made for Skyfall last year. Unlike the Brooks Brothers version, which is fairly short, they have a longer point and some flexibility to them. Would like to do a snap tab rather than button.

Anyone had this done by Luxire? Hoping there is a preexisting design to work off.

Could be. If I knew how to order that. :)

The first output of the quilted vest project we had started last month.
Looks great, I can't wait to receive it! I'll post some pics of my own for those interested.

Theresa suggested:

summary of suggestion:

Neck-band: Fused and lined
Collar points: Medium lined, unfused
Cuffs: Lightly lined, fused.

Which blue oxford cloth do you suggest for a OCBD shirt?

http://luxire.com/collections/oxford/products/blue-royal-oxford-80-2
http://luxire.com/collections/oxford/products/classic-blue-oxford
http://luxire.com/collections/oxford/products/blue-pinpoint-oxford

Or do you suggest a totally other cloth?

Does 80/2 in the description of the first shirt mean Super 80 (80 meter of the yarn weight 1 gram) two-ply?
I have the Classic Blue and I love it. Would recommend it.
You could also try out Sky Blue Oxford.

I would go with this one: http://luxire.com/products/sky-blue-oxford
I have two shirts in that material and they are great. It's a slightly lighter, brighter color than the classic blue oxford.

If you truly want the classic color, go with this: http://luxire.com/products/classic-blue-oxford

I have this on order now: http://luxire.com/products/grandi_aurora_07934_09183_pale_blue_oxford but I won't be able to comment on it until I get it.

But if you are making up an OCBD, I wouldn't use a royal oxford or a pinpoint, unless you are intentionally wanting a different fabric than OC.

There was strong interest in seeing if Luxire could offer a shirt like this:

Luxire, any plans to have something similar available any time soon?

What's the standard/preferred method of determining shirt cuff measurement? Wrist circumference + 2"?

It's all about what feels right to you. This is one of the easiest things to test for yourself; just get any shirt you already own and pin in different places and then measure what feels right (centre of button to centre of buttonhole).

If you're going from stiffer to softer cuffs, then be aware that you may need to narrow the cuff very slightly in the transition, as the softer cuff "buckles" more against the wrist, so it needs to be slightly tighter to compensate. Reduce by 0.25".

Also, you may find (I do) that french cuffs need to be similarly slightly narrower than barrel cuffs; I think this is because cufflinks tend sit at the edge of buttonhole, whereas the friction of a button is such they sit a bit more centrally. Or there may be another cause; I don't know, that's just my experience.

Yup, would want too.
