the above is true. fed ex/DHL will hit you with every customs fee they can. USPS is much better -customs wise.

I just placed my first order. A blue candy stripe with wide spread collar and convertible one button/french cuff with rounded edge. Oh, I also asked for horizontal stripes. I'd like it turn out something like this, but blue and a cutaway collar. Now the waiting game.

They ship from India and I doubt they would ship it from India to the us then to Canada just for you. That is way too much of a hassle. You're probably better off asking them to mark down the value of the package

Well you should confirm it's being shipped "internally" to their US office from India and then being sent by USPS. Otherwise you are just asking it to be shipped by India Postal Service, which I'm not sure is a better option compared to Fedex. I rather pay the taxes and have the tracking and security.

Here is my fine lusterous white
I mistakenly maesured the arms, a bit to long and - for me - far too big armhole and too wide bicpes, I'll let that get alternated nearby. Though the fit is quite good for a first shirt, only some details need correction otherwise. Quality is fine though, will order some new with adjusted size and a pair of pants, soon :)

I would say the fabric is a perfect basic white shirt cloth. I have better ones in my closet, though they are more expensive and RTW. It is really a good fabric though imo, feels really smooth for a plain weave and is especially fit for high temperatures after my experience. I would highly recommend taking it for a first shirt or for a day to day shirt.

The trousers were really a bargain, the linen is quite fine though, so i let them get fit as perfect as possible by my local alteration shop. Was really worth it, i love the pants now.

Do you plan to wear that shirt to the office? I think the rounded collar edges are a quite obvious and fashionable detail in these times.
I too have to ask what the breast pocket is for. I never liked them and thought only engineers would use them, but clapey has his shirts done without them ;)

Yes, I do where those shirts for the office, but it looks a bit fashionable - so what? I really like them and think to shift a big percentage of my wardrobe to those, I already own 4 of them, only one being a casual shirt. The breast pocket is for fun. I have some shirts with, some without them. I like it to stick my sunglasses inside e.g. You could ask as well, why are there so many pockets on a suit. Both questions can only be answered through a historical perspective, which is not my key KPI for defining personal taste. So the reason is: sometimes I just like them. To argue with functionality within a styleforum is quite absurd, isn't it? Though I can use it, the question 'what is it for' is quite obsolete ;)

Agree with you totally here. I am an engineer by training, but nowadays work more in the sales/marketing side of things but still for a tech company. Given most firms in tech go for business casual, I SELDOM wear full suit or jacket to work. There was a time a couple years ago I tried to take all my shirts pocket free, but I found myself gasping something in my hand like my smartphone, security card, business cards, or otherwise. In an environment where you don't wear a jacket 95% of the time the extra breast pocket on your shirt as well as additional functional pockets like change and credit card sleeves in your trousers make a difference.

...and the Luxire stamp of approval.

It does have a pocket (visible under a microscope) and the sleeves have vertical stripes.

Anyone order a full suit yet? I'm considering taking the plunge since the price is right, but I'm a little concerned about how the button holes and shoulders are going to turn out, given some of the examples we've seen so far.

amen. Pockets with shirts that are for daily wear. No Pockets for shirts I know I wear with suits. (white herringbone with FC for one example).

And if Its always Casual, I add a glasses pocket.
