Congrats on the new wheels. Many people prefer the lines of the hardtop to the convertible. The body style of the X100 is truly classic. There aren't many cars that will turn heads 10 years on. Does anyone really care about a 10-year old BMW 3-series or MB E-series? Do 10-year old models of either of these really catch your eye? Not me, and I'm a bimmer fan. The 911 is the exception to that. And so is the XK series.

And depreciation has about hit the wall for these cars. So, as long as you keep it in good shape, you should be able to get out of it without much of a loss if you decide later you still want the Boxster. Good luck, and check in at the Jag Forums. You will find a wealth of info there including dozens of articles on upkeep and repair.

I really hate new jag styling. So damn generic. The Previous generation was great - oozed personality

    ^^^Looks good.

Picked up a new car yesterday myself, MB S63. Had considered several - CLS63, S8, and a Jag Supersport. In the end I decided that I really didn't like the CLS as much as I thought, I didn't want to wait until fall for an S8 (not to mention being turned off by the sales guy), and the XJ just lacked too much of the things that were important to me. I'd thought I didn't want the size of another S class, but it turned out to be the only car that really got me excited for more than a week, and the only one for which I was willing to give up my V12. Driving it home yesterday was a real treat.

That looks fantastic. You won't pass many of those on your way to work.

The drink may happen sooner than you think. I'm in Memphis. I'll buy if you are down this way.

Changed my mind after seeing that angle of the XK8 in black. I forgot there was a hardtop version. Looks far nicer than the ragtop.

For those with Cayenne S in the 2004-2008 models, how much is your average monthly maintenance?
