Hi guys, I'm attending at least 3 weddings these few months and am retiring my old black suit. I'm getting a new one done and am modelling it off this! [IMG] Does any of you have a big photo/good resolution version of this shot that I can use in making the suit?

    Thanks in advance!

Gatsby doesn't have a black suit. That's probably the dark brown/charcoal pinstripe 3-piece. Can you rent the movie? He wears it in the lunch meeting at about the 35-40 minute mark.

I haven't watched that movie in ages, I shall try to get a DVD for a high res still or something....I just really like the style of the suit This piece actually caught my eye in one of SoCal's photos. However, it was in a painting. I wanted to see what the real rendition of it would look like!... I cut out your head SoCal, hope you don't mind me using the pic. [IMG]

Yeah, it's a three-piece suit in the photo. Here's a capture from the movie (not mine) with the same suit. [IMG] I have a book with a larger version of the photo in the OP, I'll try to take a photo tomorrow and upload it after work.

    Thanks so much!

Looks like very broad notch lapels w/ very slim sleeves showing lots of cuff!

Somehow the very broad notch lapels look perfectly subtle!

Flipping through it the other day I was surprised - all of the suits in the movie have wide lapels but they really look tasteful.

    Nice shoes.

That's exactly what I thought when I looked at it.

No wonder Tom calls that Rolls a "circus wagon." (At least he does in the book.)

That would look excellent in a deep hunter green or perhaps a two-tone. I've never been fond of Rolls Royce, and have seen some rather gracelessly proportioned vintage examples, but the one pictured is really one of their lovelier cars.
