cool... glad my suggestion helped. so both our jackets come from the same collection. mine is the one in the middle row with black (leather) detailing and it was also part of a suit. the colour's not green but a mustard-y yellow (actually woven from yellow and black threads). got it real cheap and like it because there's a big teddy boy/rock n' roll vibe and it'll look great if styled in a haider ackermann or hedi/saint laurent way

Anyone have any maxi coat sizing advice? I've scoured the forum, and most answers say to size down. If measurements help: I am 5'11" and weigh about 140 lbs. I tend to fit between 46-48 in lemaire sizing, and thus is my dilemma! I realize there is only a marginal difference between both sizes, however any help would rock!!

Well, nicelynice says it fits huge, so you should probably go with the 46.

I think some of the coats look solid although not very special in the runway pictures. Might be interested in one of those depending on how they look in web stores and IRL. Maybe some basics like a pair of pants or a knit.
All in all, I am not as into this collection as the previous AW. Will try to save up for SS17 which I thought was fantastic.

I will definitely be getting the long shirt and some Shetland sweaters but so far nobody has any of the good colours, there were amazing green and brown ones from the SP pre-order that I should have got in on (walnut and sage or sown thing?), I'm disappointed there's no yak ribbed sweaters but it seems like he's just not doing them anymore, or maybe I will get a pleasant surprise and they'll show up somewhere.

Just got back the SS16 one pleat pants in midnight linen/cotton from the tailor.
Thought I might provide some info in case someone has questions regarding the fit of his pants (like I had).

My waist measure 35" lower on the hips (where I would wear low rise pants/jeans) and 33" higher at my natural waist. Bought size 48.

When I got the pants the waist was too big, top block roomy in a not so flattering way, and the pants did not break in a clean way. So, I got them hemmed to the ankle with a 1.75" cuff and took in the waist so they sit a bit higher on the hip bones. The fit drastically improved. Wearing them higher and taking in the waist removed excess volume around the hips. Since I left the legs as is, the pants still drape freely in a straight line down to the hem. The cuff also adds a bit weight to the hem.
Unfortunately it looks like the tailor ironed them on high heat since there are some shiny marks around the seams [IMG]. Hope those become less prominent with wear and washing/dry cleaning.

Fit pic? I've always thought about hemming my elastic waist pants since they have that thick cuff.

I just realised that the official Lemaire webstore has changed over to AW stock.

I was actually still eyeing some SS16 items from before, anyone know where the old stock goes to?

They probably just haven't updated the stock. Some item descriptions are missing and some are still in French on the English translated site. So it seems they have not made all updates for the coming season yet.

Anyway, a few items that I might be interested in:
    - ribbed turtleneck
    - another pair of the one pleated pants (black or brown wool)
    - maybe the carrot fit double pleated pants with waist adjustment at the back
    - collarless shirt or the shirt jacket
    - overshirt
    - a longsleeve tee with button cuffs

If you want one of the long sleeve button cuff shirts check Yoox and Far Fetch. There's a few on sale now. Yoox says the grey one is 100% silk which I've never seen before, I have a feeling that's a mistake (I've seen 1% silk and 20% silk versions).

How do you guys find the one pleat pants fit? I'm a 30" waist standardly, and preordered a pair for this fw in 46. Do you surmise I'll have to tailor them?

I'm a 34 and have 2 pairs of 50's, so I think you'll be fine but it's dependent on where/how you want to wear them. They sit fairly high on my hips and are fine with no belt.

    See my post above.

My experience is that you should size according to your waist where you intend to wear them.
Since they have a high rise, you can wear them both up around your navel or lower on the hips. Most people will have different waist measurements for hips and natural waist, where the waist is typically smaller around the navel than at the hips. This can allow you to size down. The legs are cut generously enough for most people to size down.

I am a size 48-50 in pants depending on where I wear them and their cut. The size 48 one pleats measured 17" waist. I got them tailored to just over 16" and wear them high. Actually I might have been able to wear the size 46 but it is possible the cut would not be as intended then.

You might have to take in the waist if you want to wear them high.

Do you know how sizing is on those?
I am usually a 50 in tops. 41-42 chest. My shirts have around a 21.5-22" chest.

I have a 52 and the fit is ok. If he made a 54 I would buy that though. Mine is a flannel though so I always wear it over a t-shirt because it's itchy.
The arms are slightly cropped by design, but it's more noticeable on tall guys like us. If you want I can take measurements of mine?

Ok. Thanks for the quick reply!
Measurements would be great. You are a 54 normally, right?
