Attachment is nice (nicer than the old RO I had). But might be too basic for you.

I picked this up in deer and I am glad I kept it. Works nicely with my basic white tee, jeans and sneakers.

something more aggressive, but with minimal distressing. also something that doesn't break my bank hahaha... ideally don't want to break 1.5-2k, but a bit more flexible on that front

You might want to check out James Grose and the MTO option with No Man Walks Alone. I would consider it but 2 leathers is enough to fill my closet.

JG doesn't pre-distress the leathers, so maybe not what n is looking for

They wash and tumble the horsehide before cutting to soften it - but that's no distressing

You should stop by, try on the cut/sizes and look at the various leathers and linings before we close that MTO round

The Viridi Anne seems like something you would like. They've done this one horsehide jacket for the past two years, so I feel they might do it again.

Was a strong contender, but i hate the mid seam in the newer iterations..... would only consider older season on that ;; seems to be a trend for everything i want these days....

Finally tried on a RMC Buco J100. Loved the jacket, but the sleeves felt slightly short.

Need to put in that order for a Himel Kensington I think,

considered that one too, but it's a bit too distressed in a bad way
