Do you know the approximate prices ranges on these? I know there are a couple companies in Taiwan that make very affordable custom and MTM leathers as well.

They run $3-700 and are not worth it in my opinion unless you can snag one on deep discount. The stores are about the same quality as Gap or J. Crew

Thanks nn, was hoping you'd chime in. I have no problem spending more as long as the quality/fit warrants it. Does anyone know if the schott models sold in Japan have a different fit than the U.S. mpdels?

I'd say in 1984, on the set of "Beverly Hills Cop".

@mike868y , I'm not sure tan is the best color. I'd go a darker brown if possible.
I like the styling of the freaks store and blue tornado best.

Mikey. What about the wjk in NN's signature? Great jacket, but possibly too big?

Why is a jacket labeled blue tornado not blue?

i think i found a jacket that'll fit the bill (not that similar to anything I've posted already tbh). have to wait to get paid to cop (self imposed restriction) and i'll probably post in should i/shouldn't i beforehand.

there are a number of styles i'm interested in. i've wanted a denim jacket/a trucker jacket for a while, so I think I might go with a suede one which I really like and i think would fit with my style better than a moto. if i were to get a leather, i'd be most interested in a moto, yeah. would love to find a used toj, but I don't really see that happening in my size.

whats your size have you checked the website we don't speak of... (rhymes with hail in past tense).

also there is a toj exchange thread http://www.styleforum.net/t/281742/...something-un-hypothetical-something-real/1050 check there.

idk how much you want to spend, whats your budget?

Thurston brothers carries Vason and Aero which are great brands. Schott is always solid too.

i'm really small, 5'3", 120lbs. would need something ~24" long with shoulders somewhere around 16-16.5" and a p2p of 18.5"-19.5". yes i've checked the unspeakable website. don't think schott fit would workout, haven't honestly looked into vanson or aero, but would like to keep the budget around $750 or cheaper. i'll look into vanson/aero though, thanks for the rec.

yea check with thurston and your size while small does open you up to julius, vide anne, KK attachment lots of cool japanese stuff.

this post has lots of brands mentioned http://www.styleforum.net/t/71625/l...-the-best-youve-seen-owned/11505#post_7246707 maybe you can grab something used form the ones mentioned if price is too high.

750 is a good amount for a jacket,

http://www.yelp.com/biz/johnson-leathers-san-francisco?start=40 makes custom leathers and moo has a cool jacket from them, I'm sure $750 will get you something nice see http://www.styleforum.net/t/384711/johnson-leathers-san-francisco-new-leather-jacket

    thurston bros thread = http://www.styleforum.net/t/384450/...ca-official-affiliate-thread/390#post_7411688
