The molliono looks great. Don't like the slanted chest pocket on the first one, nor do I like the ribbed cuffs on the second one, if that's even part of the jacket.

Styling on the Acne from the last page is awful. It's like the awkward "edgy" version of this famous VISVIM pic.

I'm looking for a timeless simple designer jacket, what do you guys recommend for under 1700 usd? As for the Acne jacket I actually like the styling, but what do you think of the actual jacket?I could see myself wearing it for a few years.

Personal fave is the backlash followed by second one. If you could somehow try them..

Guys thanks a lot, i think most favored the backlash so i may go with it. Otherwise intarsia and mollino kinda tied each other

I like RO jackets a lot but the ones i've showed are current season at 3k a pop and thats a bit much unless i can find a good deal

I like this one, except for the 2 huge silver studs on the lapels which spoil it...otherwise it's nice:)

    £3k or $3K

I guess it's still a lot to spend on a leather jacket, even if you love it...

5 years ago I paid £1,000 for a bespoke black Japanese calf trenchcoat, but I feel I need to baby it for years to get my money's worth:)

would you mind please using the "spoiler tags" around images, you keep quoting pics that we've already seen, granted if its something awesome it should be requoted with full size image :D

I guess $3K is still quite a lot to drop on a leather jacket - although compared to what I spend on my bespoke John Lobb boots.....:)

there's a lot of used ricks floating around sz/sufu/sf b&s if you're patient enough. y!jp also continually churns out stuff but your size might be rare

Just be sure to get proper measurements on backlash. Based on my experience, it fits 2 sizes smaller.

on a kind of related note, what other designers besides Rick Owens makes leather jackets with a nice taper for the v-shape? None of the recent season rick jackets appeal to me, partly because the ones I've had access to had pretty unimpressive leather.

I've seen slim models of the following: Acne, Belstaff, SLP, MMM (5zip looks slim in a boxy way), balmain, ma+, 10sietto, bbs

i'm sure the Japanese brands devoa, incarnation, backlash are slim
