I kind of prefer the 44, but objectively, the 46 looks more balanced.

edit: Wow missed an entire page. 46 sleeve looks bad, agreed. Never mind.

agreed, 44 looks good. my 46 is a little roomy in the arms too, where other jackets are usually too tight.

... You do know you can order that Toj (MTM) right? That way it'll fit you properly and it'll be the exact jacket you want. Moto + gold zips. Yes you might wait a while, but at 1/3 of the price of the MMM, it might be worth it to you to get the jacket you want.

Yeah 46 is out of the running. If I see a black with silver zip older 5-zip, I might just jump on it. So if the body is slightly boxier on the older ones, are the sleeves a bit different too? If the 44 sleeves are any looser, they will also then be too big/baggy for me. Shit people told me I was skinny, but I hardly thought they were serious. I need to do something about my damn arms.

i have that jacket (the 46), the sleeves are slightly loose on me and my arms are pretty big.
to answer your question, the measurements on oki-ni seem accurate. if i were you at this point i'd get a toj

Oh well, basically the MMM generally fits people with bulkier arms better I guess. I know that logically the best idea here would be to order a custom TOJ, but after trying the 5-zip on... I want one.

Thanks for the measurements link. They don't even mention the 44, but it seems each size is 2cm less all round, so it is easy to calculate.

Is the 44 hard to find used? If a new MMM 5-zip ever goes on sale, what is the lowest anyone has seen it at? If the sale price still isn't affordable to me, I'll ignore new and focus my efforts on finding a used jacket. In the meantime, I hope to find someplace in NY that stocks a good number of ROs to try. So far the Barney's and the RO boutique has had absolutely nothing in my size, and only a few of the styles which is disappointing.

Are you sure this is blue, or could it appear blue from the flash?

Either way, I want a Bauhaus now.

IF in NY has some Rick. I can't recall any other places with a big selection. Your size is pretty small so that might make it harder.

Went to IF at lunch today, they did have a couple of ROs, but not much and nothing in my size again. They also had the MMM 5-zip, and a very different one to Barneys. Way thicker leather and less polished I think. Can't be this season. I tried on the 48 since it was the smallest size they had, and the sleeves actually fit nicer than the 46 from Barney's. This makes me think that maybe the older 46 MMM 5-zips will fit me fine. Will have to try and find one to try.
