    Hi Men,

Does anyone know who designed/made the white linen suit Jude Law is wearing in this Johnny Walker ad (Gentleman's Wager ii): ... suit appears in the first 20 seconds or so. While I am on the topic, any general recommendations on high end white linen suits?

Thanks as usual for any help.
    Bill

It's not a suit, but a jacket and pants combo from, it looks like, FW15. Since Johnnie walker did this all in conjunction with product tie ins from net-a-porter (i.e., for me, www,mrporter.com), the clothes would have been in and advertised on, Mr.Porter. Not there anymore, but worth an email to them about it.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Thanks so much, Fok; this is very helpful. This forum is amazing, I have to wonder no more. I simply ask, wait about 12 hours, and receive a totally on point response.

    Thanks again,
    Bill

I messaged the site and will post should I hear back. In the meantime, anyone have recommendations on high quality slim fit linen suits (particularly in white)?

So Mr Porter on the phone had no further information; I then emailed and was promptly and politely told to "F-off". Fok, quality information for sure; thank you once more for the support. Anyone have any further information on who may have made this blazer/pant combination?

Very likely just costume for the man and thus made specially. Strange why people don't associate anything in the film/TV and like industries as just costume.

Any 'placements' will be credited at the end, if they are not, 99% likely to be costume for the big names. Likely they get to keep anything which could be worn off set - if they want to or else for premiers etc. when turning up 'in character' is appropriate.

I'm sure the suit is custom made.

I remember Jude Law in the 2004 movie Alfie wearing different suits and styles. On one suit he commented
something like "Gucci, summer sale". I'm pretty sure none of the fashion showed in Alfie was Gucci, Prada or any other designer
but rather all custom made by a costume designer from the set, like probably most clothes in movies.

I don't feel like costume is a fair word given that unless it's some over the top outfit it's probably made by a tailor and functions as expected but simply manufactured solely as part of the wardrobe for the film and not for personal use. I know that a lot of custom tailors do wardrobe work as well.
