Very nice :) Is that plum? looks a bit purple-ish, but it could be the indoor lighting.

You can never get enough of the chapel...

I think that the 7000 last they were manufactured on and the form of a Oxford shoe is too serious to be worn with a casual outfit, yet that stripe line and laces looks way too casual for a suit shoe.. So, I have no idea what would I pair these with ..

The 7000 last is one of the best dress shoe lasts, regardless of maker. I personally don't understand the appeal of shoes outside of browns/tans, black, and burgundies - so I will leave opinions on green shoes, etc., to others. That shoe, in a traditional color, could quite easily be worn with a suit (plain toe oxford) - although the stitching detail on the side is a bit curious. I have always thought JL uses laces that are too wide in their dress shoes (too sneaker-like for me) - accordingly, I change mine out as a first order of business upon receipt of a pair.

They say this piece is limited. Should I bite on it or buy the Warwick or Chapel? : /

    What are you looking for?

    oxford or derby?
    laced or buckles or loafer?
    plaintoe/captoe/medallion toe/wingtip?
    Prestige line or regular line?
    a specific last?

The answer to these will narrow down your choices to a manageable number of options. :D

Just to be clear, I am not disparaging green (or other non-traditional colored) shoes. They are just not for me.

I don't have many wingtips in my line up and the Warwick looks nice. The Aston Martin in claret looks lovely too but the purchase seems more like impulse since its Limited edition [IMG]

Yes I love the color and model. But the Aston Martin Claret looks sweet but I don't know if it is impulse of the moment : /

Between the two models, for me it's not even close - get the Warwick.

[IMG] The contrast with the suit might not be everyone's cup of tea :)

I'm torn between the Chigwell and the City II for my first pair of Lobb :)
