Thanks I love them and am so excited how well they work for me. Did me wearing the brown socks help you guys see the nice grey / navy blue suede?

Very lucky man. That pair is probably made several years ago uncollected judging from its shoe tree and bags.

It looks there might be some extra volume across the vamp. Judging from the full insole, I am guessing there's full padding underneath the insole?

Thanks and yes I lucked out, especially to find something in as large of a size as mine plus a narrow width.

Are these pairs from the same dead customer of the JL St James?

No they actually aren't. This pair is much more narrow than the JL St James. Crazy isn't it?

What colour are you using for cream polish (if using)?

Like these but they fit very generous, I may have to move them...

New shoes with lace fully closed and some extra space across the vamp.

Maybe adding sock liners will help. Or insoles.

Thanks for sharing, very interesting read. I was curious and tried the website again. Everything looks luxurious except for... the shoes they are trying to sell. Apart from the old classic ones, it is really hard to feel the new design

I just can not see how they are being respectful to the brands history by producing plimsoles! One can easily see the difference between JL St James ( What I call the real LOBB) and the shop on Jermyn street. Even these were good times for me shopping at JL but these days the shoes are so different! [IMG]
