Yesterday I went to both stores in Oxford Street. Most things are available in all sizes. Except for the flannel suit, I was interested in. The sizing seems to be a bit inconsistent. I tried on a broadcloth and a denim shirt in M. The former fitted well, the latter was too long in the arms.

I noticed that the staff is extremely attentive and knows about the collection. They must have had extra training.

I managed to pick up a light grey flannel peak lapel jacket, and it turns out that I'm a XL (usually I wear a 40R suit) there were maybe half a dozen dark grey jackets (peak and notch) left in M and L. And there were absolutely no pants left. This was Harbour city Hong Kong; I didn't check Causeway bay.

re: military jacket;

I thought abut buying it but ended up with the cropped M65 instead. The lining is quilted and padded with down (which was in no way as lofty as that of a real down jacket). I think it would handle NYC winter or Philly iwnter just fine, but not sure about Canadian or Chicago winters.

Now that makes me wish they had Uniqlo here. I went to the one in Manhattan, it was amazing but I didn't buy enough clothes there.

Does anyone know how easy it would be to alter the sleeve length on the chesterfield? I can't tell from the pics if it has buttons, and if so if they have the faux stitching that makes altering a pain.

Can anyone comment? Thanks.

Does anyone know how long the +j collection is expected to last? Hoping I'll be able to pick some stuff up during thanksgiving break, but might have to bribe an SA to mail order/proxy.

Here are my thoughts on the pieces that I looked at.

Wool flannel trousers: Very nice for the price. Low rise, fit slightly smaller than marked.

Chesterfield: XS fit me well in the shoulders, but the body was still too baggy. Didnt' want to deal with altering it so passed. Wool felt a bit cheap and thin. Overall you're getting what you pay for

Cashmere sweaters: seemed nice and soft, price was a bit high.

I didn't like the non-peak label blazers. They aren't that special, and I could find comparable elsewhere.

Waiting for them to restock XS in the peak lapel blazers...

I went earlier and couldn't find a lot of the stuff I wanted. Wool pants were out & wool flannel blazers were out of stock as well. I asked several SA's about restocking and they said no. Anyone get any contradicting responses?

The sleeves have no buttons I believe.

Uniqlo today was such a zoo! I went in trying to find a cheap umbrella b/c it was raining, then I find out that there is some Jil something-or-other event. I only bought a +J belt. But it was cheap.
