Spoo could probably get you that for half the price.

Damn, that guy did his research, bought Tom Ford tie on ebay and flipped for profit. His feedback showed that he sold 4 already, $950-$1200.

I think his claim is outrageous, only 10 made, but these tie can be easily found on ebay...

I don't know if he's flipping them. How else would he have the swatch?

The swatch is just a picture, could either found online, took a picture in store/hollywood display/even taken or bought from ebay, but this guy knows his stuff. Plus he is not providing the swatch with the sale.

I have a Charvet tie that looks very much like this and I paid much less than $1800 for it. But it didn't appear in a Bond movie :(.

This is the reaction of 99.99% of the population; but for those making 50 million plus dollars a year; $1800 is equivalent to someone making $50,000 buying a tie for $1.80 (if my math is correct). Being able to brag up your Tom Ford tie over your friend's Tom Ford tie would be worth that to some.

Except i would bet that the people who bought it on ebay are not making 50 million per year.

If it was actually used in the movie then maybe bond collectors would pay that price. But if not im sure you can walk into TF and find one that looks similar or maybe even the exact pattern and pick up 7 more with cash to spare haha

"This is probably one of the most incredible, sought after, historic (if you're a Bond fan), impossible to get tie in the world. It is the tie of a lifetime. It breaks my heart to sell it"

A bit dramatic. Nice tie but charvet have many that look the same.

That guy took the thing out of the blister pack! It is now not mint, and no tags! Not collectable any more!
Anyway, the things that are sold as for collectable value, tend not to have any collectable value.

I sold one of these last year for $500 on a no reserve auction. Bond people are nuts for this stuff.
