I wear 11 in Ecco & New Balance sneaks, 10.5 Redwing, Paul Smith, Varvatos, & Clarks DB's.

I have 2 McAlisters and they are both size 11. They have a little room in the toe but not enough to want to size down, I just wear medium thick socks and am good to go. If I were to go barefoot I'd probably want the 10.5's

+1. Don't own them but I've tried them on. Felt like Dana Torres in those.

bought the macalisters the other day, and as vernon said, i'm not sure if the little bit of extra toe room warrants a 1/2 size down from my normal size 10. however, i ended up ordering 9.5's anyways and will see if they fit better than the 10's. will report back soon.

There is offically something wrong with either your foot or mine. I'm about the same size in everything but they're flipped... 10 in Vans, Nikes and Reeboks 9.5 in Sperry's, Dress shoes and J.Crew Shoes 9 in Clarks I would say go for a 9.5 for you. My friend told me they stretch a bit like Clarks too, not as much but a little bit. If they're just a hair too small suck it up with some wool socks for a few days and they'll stretch out.

Most of my dress shoes are pretty narrow when it gets towards the front, hence the size. It's not like Nikes/Vans where theres plenty of toe room.

the slim fit chino and the urban slim fit chinos arrived. i like the lightweight of the slim fit chino and also the length is perfect, as it provides little to no break which is how i like my pants. it sits at the waist and the hook-and-bar clasp and extra fastener in front gives it a dressier look. it's an ideal summer pant.

the urban slim fit chino has a lower yoke, so i get the feeling it's meant to be worn below the hips. this is not ideal for me, and the inseam is a bit longer than i would like. i will most likely return these. pics to come.

    urban slim fit:

    "slim fit chino:"

    thoughts?

I think the fit on the second is better as well, but too short for my blood. But, could you give me an idea of the measurement for the hem width on the slim fit?

PS - I got the grey chambray in the mail the other day, and I really like this shirt. A trip to the tailor can help with the sleeve width (too big for my tastes) but the fit is nice everywhere else. I'm glad I picked it up and I like it much better than the blu chambray.

If he does it, then Jenna probably says to. You should always do what she says. She has her fingers on the pulse of what women really want to see their men in. [IMG]

The "barefoot DB with shorts" look doesn't work for me. There is actually a whole thread about whether or not this is kosher while The GAP and J Crew have been putting the look out there. Some can pull it off but I'm sticking with boat shoes and sandals.

It definitely isn't easy, I tried it once.

    Notice how I said once.
