I think both outfits are rather nice, specially considering it's all RTW stuff. Sure they're not perfect but we're not getting tons of bespoke fits in WAYWRN lately. These are very nice for what they are.

^^ thanks klobber, nice to see you as always ^^
What brought me to wear the coat I chose today was that I had wanted to wear that coat and this tie together. The rest of the fit was built around that.

    :)

Well, that is a fine opinion, and many share it with you. And now that that's said I think we can leave it at that, we have more than enough threads complaining about the state of WAYWRN. Let's let this continue as a fun and lighter thread. Thanks.

I will agree that Diaz does put up some stellar fits.

^^ for all the #2 that gets thrown to Stitchy, he's a great sport..Now regarding this fit (and majority of his other pics), imo the imbalance has something to do with his trouser/pents but I cannot explain it...

I actually agree--I personally think they are tapered too much, which lends a slight pear shape on larger men. But, I believe he likes the taper, so to each his own.

These are my most tapered pants. By far. I do like them, but they are not my favorite fitting pants. Ideally I like them a little bit less tapered and snug. Both for comfort and for looks.

And as mentioned, the angle that the picture is taken at does not exactly help. But the other option for now is to not post pictures at all. I don't think anyone gains from that.

Had I known I was up for a fit battle, I probably would've chosen something else. However I like this organic fit battle. We have had planned ones in the past, and I think each has its own benefits.

I don't think in_stitches's fit is as off as its being portrayed in some comments here, but I do think Orgetorix does better on a number of details. The square, the pant cuffs, he has a nice bit of shirt cuff showing. I like the check on in_stitches's coat, but I think it does go to Orgetorix overall, with the square versus lack of square being the tipping point.

oh yeah? this is the first ive heard of this. tell me more.... ;)

whether or not i agree with the state of WAYWRN is irrelevant in this thread.

I agree on stitchy's pents....may be the pose, may be the angle, may be the shoes, may be the taper.....more than likely its all of the above. not bad by any stretch...just a hair off.

O raised an interesting point that i didnt notice..his jacket is too small to button. c'est la vie. Looks fantastic.:nodding:

LOL, you go the opposite to me. I first decide on the pants and shoes I will wear and then fit a shirt tie jacket around it. It seems neither of us have time to try on 10 different combos to work out what looks best for a given day. I have taken to suits more lately since half the battle is won and choices are plainly obvious.

Such is life although I would not mind a 2 hour slot in which to play dress up just me and the mirror or audience :embar::hide:

Stitchy, take my criticisms with a grain of salt. This is really not a bad fit by any stretch.

I do really like this organic fit battle. It's a great idea, and fun.

actually, i usually do start with my pants, and work from there. not even sure why, its just how things developed. i think maybe it forces me to use different SCs, or id be reaching for the same few every time. happened to be i was itching for the SC/tie pairing so i started there, gotta change things up from time to time, lol. the most i have time to try out is holding up two ties to my jacket.

    i wish i had more suits. :(

    :inlove: always.

was not offended in the least, homeslice.

I think these are both excellent fits. Really the only differences are the proportions, pants break/cuff show, shirt collar, and choice of footwear.

And Quadcammer, that was a douchenozzle thing to say.

I don't know if this is true or not, but perhaps your tie is too small Stitchy? Maybe it would look better with a wider one with your frame. Orge's tie looks wider by comparison, and more in harmony with his lapels IMO. But he is also cheating of course, showing that much of the tie when he can't button his coat. :)

    It's a fit battle.

I wish Stitches had cuffs but other than that.. it's all Stitch.

    Both look fantastic though.

IS has bad camera angle working against him.

O is one of the better dressers on this forum. Not as good as the Asian crew, but far better than the Reddit crowd.
