i have read that the contruction is of very high quality. i've seen someone wearing a pair before and in a nice bright sunny day, the indigo imperials looks way differnt from my 2003 LVC '47 501s. they looked good. can you post any detailed pics of the jeans? a nice picture of them turned inside out would be nice.
Sure can post some photos...below are some shots of the Raw Blue Duke's....If you want more, ask...[IMG] The build quality looks pretty good (selvage up to the very top), the denim feels really nice, (better then APC's, different, but as good as Nudies...). The texture of the denim, looks very diverse/deep...I'm sure these will break in realllllly nice! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] --WadeM

Wade, how much would a pair of the black denim jeans that they have in their gallery go for ? Are they a similar fit to Nudie RRs ? Do they stretch as much ?

The black selvage Dukes are deadstock from a couple of seasons ago. They fit more like a Slim Jim than a Regular Ralf.

Contact Imperial by email to see if they have any left. They're worth it; my brother has a pair and they're absolutely gorgeous.

They are really similar. Their cut called King (I think) is pretty much identical to the Regular Ralf cut.

supposedly, the quality is also better. imperials don't have any overlocked seams, everything is flat-felled (you can see this in the picture above). the construction is supposed to be top-notch. i have not seen any imperials in person so i can't confirm if this is true--this is going off the word of an imperial owner.

Yea, I've heard about this as well. Nudie construction is only so-so. The one thing that puts me in the Nudie camp is the back pocket stitching. I know you can remove it, but given the choices, I go with Nudie. I just don't like the Imperial stitching.. it looks too obvious that it's attempting to flatter your ass.

The stitching on my Dukes seems to be a lot sturdier than the stitching on my Slim Jims. The hardware is kinda boring, though.

agreed, everyone was yelling about the nudie stitching....man, with the size of those pockets and the stitching.....these are just WAY too loud

The Stitching on the black denim is very subtle....it's silver on black....so almost impossible to see.

It does stand out a bit, on the indigios...Didn't really think about it either way, still don't =) Pocket stiching isn't a factor when I buy jeans [IMG]

Homme: If you're not sorted, feel free to PM again...cheers
