Those don't look like the 17.5cm Diors, those look like 19cm.

Actually with thighs that size, you may be able to pull off that look with 17.5s. How big are your calfs? Because thats the primary sizing difference with Dior. The taper, because the 17.5, 19, and 21cm all refer to the hem opening on a pair of 32s in each of those three models. The cm measurements can vary from a half to a full cm, depending on the jean, for every size you go up or down. So for example size 33 19cm jeans will actually have a roughly 19.5 cm hem. If you have slightly large calfs, then go with the 19cms. My calfs are big and my thighs are definitely larger than yours (6 feet, 190, athletic build) and my 32 19cms fit me perfectly, very similar to the photo you shared.

No homo but those are not doing your backside any favors. Size up.

    Same with these

I'll try the 501s on tomorrow in a size up, could probably try the chinos too. Get it done in one trip. Tailors can bring in a chinos / jeans waist by 2 inches, right?

They shouldn't sag on a size up, right?

I'll get onto it tomorrow - cheers for the reply.

I usually don't mind jeans wrinkle at the back of the knees (honeycombs) but with these okayama spirit, probably due to the thickness (16oz), they wrinkle so much at the knees that it takes out a good 1-2 inch of the inseam. With the inseam of OS already short enough, I need to pull them down back after squatting or sitting down, otherwise the jeans become almost high water. Do I always have to do this or will they drape more as they break in?

Much too small! You need to size up one or two to flatter you:)

They'll soften up and drape a bit more for sure, will also further soften and drape when u wash em. I usually have this problem initially which is increases with my larger calves that tend to catch the pants and I always have to put em down again.

While they are still in their raw, stiff state, yes this will continue to happen, however once they have been broken in after a certain while, they will begin to drape a little more to your liking. I have a pair of Flat Heads that I did the same thing too, I hemmed them the same length of my Iron Hearts without taking into consideration that they are a lighter weight fabric and bunch more behind the knees. They're wearable but I wish they were longer. Once you wash them and they soften up they should be fine, unfortunately this may take a while

I will be trying out the 501s in a size up and also others but wanted to know if I should keep or ditch these. These are a 36 waist, size up from the Levis in a tapered fit. I was going to chuck them out but on consideration, a small they seem to be OK.

Should I bin these or keep them for a tapered jean? I'm of course gonna be looking for straight fits just wanted some feedback on these.

Cheers. I'm going to try some straight leg rather than these tapered in the same waist so hopefully, will get a looser thigh. Thanks for the feedback

I got a question. I owned a pair of acne max. Now I think my thighs got too fat. I can't even close the top bottom, it looks like right from those cheesy fitness-commercials.
But I do fit in my Levi's just as normal.

So my question is, should I upgrade to a 31/32 or do you think it's a different problem (like my thighs/body-build)

    Thanks

    First and last pairs:)

Jeans will shrink so anything which seems too big now will be fine

Don't size down or you'll be throwing money away - I've sold jeans before and you don't get much :)
