So we obviously need to discuss what we'll be doing during the storm!.

I will be cracking a lovely bottle of Petrus I have been saving for a rainy day, doing a bit of drunk housekeeping and watching the Manhattan skyline from my window.

Music choice is still up in the air.

Just came in from picking up a 12 pack of Sam Adams Octobrfest.
I am usually winding down at appr 7-8pm to get ready to get to bed for work. Now, it's like a free Saturday...though I will be working from home tomorrow.
Dinner is still up in the air. I can also stay up to check out Homaland.

    Oops, I don't have a corkscrew.

Guess it'll have to be a screwtop kind of storm.

My fault really for having a shoddy storage situation in NYC - not like Cali where I had great storage.

I wish I had the foresight to buy ginger beer and Goslings Black Seal rum in anticipation of Sandy. I'll have to make do with a six pack (now five) of Heavy Seas Loose Cannon.

    Good luck dudes.

I was right at the center of Sandy last thurs/fri when it was a category 2 over the bahamas. I had a blast! The house I was in was on the beach facing the atlantic ocean but it was built to withstand hurricanes so it was fine. That didn't stop the wife from freaking out though... I'd always wanted to see a hurrican up close thoguh...

Seems like it'll be more of a PITA for the NE because people there just aren't prepared for that sort of weather. There was flooding where we were but the electricity was back on within 48 hours and I was able to catch a flight out to make my connection back to canada on Sunday.

Actually ventured out on Sunday. But MOnday and Tuesday nights I tucked in with my two six packs of Heavy Seas SMall Craft Warning (pils) and Winter Storm. Yum! However as I was home alone I didn't do too much damage to them
