Hi everyone,

Please indulge my green obsession by posting, linking, or re-posting pics of green ties. How do you wear yours? Is a pale blue shirt best to bring out a dark green? How about lilac? Are they best with a sport coat or suit?

Your pics please!

[snark]Tie it around your neck, leave the house. Second part optional.[/snark]

IMO, only really bright Kelly or light lime greens look good with white. Blue is almost always a better choice. Pink is also good.

SC or suit, hardly matters.

Green looks particularly good with grey. Don't pair it with brown or it'll look too Discovery Channel. Then there's the whole pink and green thing, if you're into that. One could go on like this for a long time.

I'm a pretty big fan of green and blue--especially in darker shades w/ navy, as gdl posted.

I agree, the bright greens need a white background, the darker greens need a light blue or lilac to give the green 'pop'

I hope this one goes on for a long time, like the tan shoe Appreciation thread! These pics are making me salivate! Also, Rebel, Old Dog, Upper Crust and GDL all show how versatile green is. A green tie always makes a statement. It can be mysterious, jaunty, jazzy, sprez, or serious depending on the hue or pattern. Spoo, you rock my sartorial world! You have just confirmed my 'need' of a white pocket square with a forest green shoestring border!

Dark green grenadine! <3 I'm broke, however, having just got married and bought a car! Can you guess what colour it is?
