5.9 miles last night. iPod shuffle was dead, headlamp needed new batteries, and my motivation was wearing thin...but I got out there which was needed for some me time.

Did 2 miles after not running for months.

That's great! I've stopped/started numerous times for many different reasons. Starting back up can be a struggle but once you get the routine going again it will better. Keep it going!

Had an old boss tell me she started up running and ran 5 miles the previous evening since she knew I ran. Then for the next 5 days I heard complaints as to how I can run so long and not be so sore. Building up has its advantages to stave off soreness and injury.

As for last night I got in another 5.9 miles. By the end I was regretting my decision for tights and should have gone with shorts as I was too warm. Capped it off with some ice cream and warm brownies.

Does anything beat brownie and ice cream after a run?

I just finished 18.1 miles on a lovely NorCal evening. Here's a pic taken at mile 17.5.

5 miles after work today. I usually run in the morning but didn't get up early enough today. It's such a different experience compared to running early in the morning.

I'm a morning runner also but every so often I have to run in the evening. Definitely a whole different experience. But I always seem to enjoy the morning better than the evening runs.
