9 miles yesterday evening after getting back to SF from Miami. Included 5 miles at LT which was hard, but was rewarding. Feeling whupped today, though!

Away this weekend, so I have to get my long run in tomorrow.

7.9 miles this morning. I think this weekend I'll be digging out the long-sleeved running shirts.

Way back at the start of August I booked a room at the Doubletree in Miamisburg, OH for the Air Force Marathon next weekend and I just received an email today from somebody on their sales manager that the room will actually not be available due to an error in their system.

Way to give me advanced notification Doubletree! It would have been great to know this information a few weeks ago when rooms were still available at other nearby hotels.

That sucks MP! My last European flight was cancelled 72hrs before it was suppose to take off.

For a run I got in 8 miles here in Ohio. Temps in the 50s are making me think my shirtless running will need to turn into shirted running.

Back in Nashville and got in 19.5 miles on the trails. The weather was cooler so it felt amazing. Was at the point of pushing towards another loop but had some yard work to do and didn't want to push myself too hard. Race is in 3 weeks so another solid effort week this week and I will taper. A little disappointing I haven't kept up my mileage but SB pointed out a few pages back, it is hard to maintain 50+ miles week in and week out on my body. We will see how this race treats me.

Ran The North Face Ednurance Challenge 50K on Saturday in Wisconsin. Clocked a 3:59:04. Was very pleased with my time, course was pretty and very runable. It was my final long training run before my 100 miler.

    Great job!

Another short fast 4 miles today for me. I'm not missing doing the longer runs (yet).

9 miles with a few final tempo runs this morning. Now time to relax for the next few days.

Well, the Doubletree made things right. They got me booked in one of the few relatively close hotels with available rooms for the same rate I was paying at their hotel. It's not as nice of a hotel, but I'm not expecting the Hyatt or the W in "suburban" Dayton, Ohio anyway.

8.6 miles this morning at a 7:40/mi pace. I think my usual pace for this route is around 8:00/mi so a little more pep. These times seem slow to me as in Ohio I was running <7:00/mi for quicker runs and my usual pace was 7:30/mi but that was without hills.

Where in Ohio were you running? Maybe it's something in the water down there and I should be expecting a PR on Saturday. ;)

Columbus, OH. Toledo had that water scare a few months back so there is definitely something different in the water up there!

I often like to wear Maize and Blue when I run. That mighty be enough to encourage me to run faster if I were in Columbus...

7.6 this morning, inclusive of 5x1000 at 5k pace. It was supposed to be 9 total, but, in all honesty, I got bored running around the track. I should have run to the track to avoid that. Skipped yesterday's 4 mile recovery run because my hip was still sore from Friday's 17.

Got in 6.5 miles this morning. In the 50s today so the run was nice.

5 miles this morning. It was 38º degrees when I stepped off and of course the shirt I set out last night after looking at the weather report was a tank top and not the long-sleeved shirt I thought it was. :fu:

37 degrees, this morning, and 4 miles. Because there was no wind, it did not feel cold. Ran through some pea-soup foggy patches. I forgot my headlamp, and on a twisty street, I lost my bearings because of the fog.

Got in 4.6 miles this morning and bringing my clothes to run this evening with the group. Traffic in Nashville is a sh*t show on Thursday's for some reason making it hard to get home, let alone a group run a little out of the way.
