When you wear a shirt with no tie, how many buttons do you leave undone, many people have just one but I find this looks untidy on me so have two, what do you do?

Never more than 1, unless I was cutting the grass or something, but even then, probably just the top one.

One if worn under a sweater, two otherwise, five if I'm walking home in the morning light.

Depends on the shirt and the button spacing. 1 or 2.

Depends on the button placement on the shirt. And whether I'm wearing a contrasting T under it.

I find it skeevy when a guy shows too much skin under his shirt.

I agree too many showing is sleezy, I find on most of my shirts 2 works best.

2, but as long as you aren't showing a hairy chest.

Indeed, but I don't want to see it. So, either keep that shirt buttoned up, or shave.

Yes nothing is more attractive to the opposite (or same sex) that you are trying to attract, than by having a rug sticking out of your shirt. [IMG]

    1 button: casual friday

2 buttons: casual friday in El Caribe (lucky me I'm from over there) because it is really hot down there year round.

    3 buttons: Latin lover

4 to no buttons: Guido. Shirt is more of an accessory at this point.

The rule of thumb is one open button for each squirt of cologne.

1 only. Unless one is a pimp and would like to show off his thick gold chains and forest of chest hair, in which case I think one could safely unbutton 3-5, depending on spacing.

Perhaps there is a direct correlation between what you and I said? I know it's definately true for the 'latin lover' type..
