How do you guys like your fit?

I know everyone is a little different and it's all personal preference at the end of the day. But in general, do you guys look for something that fits your current body type? I work with a guy that fits guys in a jacket too big because since he got fat, he thinks everyone should get something they can "grow into".

I like a fit that fits my current body type. If I gain weight, then I will just sell or trade the clothes that no longer fit me and buy or trade clothing
items that do fit my current body type.

I hate to be that guy but when you "grow into" a suit in the waistline you don't grow into the shoulders. That said, if you're working out & your shoulder get bigger to the point where you need to change suit sizes, that's a good problem to have.
