Give us a chance to uncrate our lives, and you'll get to see more of the apartment, or the views, which are quite an eyeful. Getting the apartment and the views in the same photo is more of a challenge - the light level differentials make it hard to balance outdoors/indoors, but we'll try.

Chilly (by Bay Area standards) this morning, and the ground still wet from showers the night before. Pocket flaps out this time.

Thank you, and yes, the jacket sleeve was binding up on the french cuff, which may be a little long. It was very early this morning . . .

Yes, it would seem, in my old age, that I've discovered the joys of Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole, which is a better fit for me than standard Brooks Bros. these days.

Honestly sir, I find the waistcoat too formal for the country colors of your suit, socks, and shoes, and therefore not appropriate for a complete ensemble, despite an exquisite fit, and beautiful pairing of shirt and tie to bring it together.

An interesting observation. I can see your point. However, I deal with my wardrobe, on occasion, like I dealt with painting when I was in art school - a matter of color and form, divorced from extrinsic values applied to either, and, from a color perspective, today's waistcoat works well with today's suit. Some day I will pair the waistcoat with a more formal suit, and see if I like the effect as well as I like the pairing I've done today.

I see the point as well......

but it works, and thats the pleasure of having a wardrobe to play with.

I agree with Crusty. Both the vest and suit have warm coloring. They go very well together. The suit is also on the more formal side in my mind because of the single button peak lapel jacket. I have never been fond of the country/city dichotomy. Go with what looks good. Form over function over forum.

I feel you quite possibly own more Suit Supply suits than anyone of the forum. I'd be curious to know how many. Anyway, they look great on you. [IMG]

I think it works very well tonally, I'd like to see it with a grey waistcoat as well.
