Isn't that high-rise trousers thing going a bit too far? I still liked the whole look

This stuff. Kangol linen sixpence, Corneliani sports coat, Eterna shirt, silk tie - no brand.
Knit leather belt, Massimo Dutti casual pants, Viccel socks in cream, suede Tyrwhitts on my feet makes my cipher complete...

^^ Thanks for the kind words. I'm really happy about the tie – a recent thrift find. A bit too wide at the tip to be any kind of modern, but I had to get it because of the crudely drawn rubies and sapphires pattern. Goes well with the coat, I think.

Grey and Blue. Trousers are puddling a bit as I forgot to fasten side tab.

It is a good look. My understanding of more traditionally cut (ie. higher rise) trousers is that they're more flattering because they don't show the waistline when you're wearing your jacket buttoned, and they lengthen the leg.
What doesn't work as well is wearing wearing them without a jacket, or with the jacket unbuttoned. Same as the suspenders really. Though I understand why the op showed both for the (very cool) photos.

A crummy cellphone photo is probably the worst part.

Jacket is a mid-90s thrifted RL.

    Shirt is Kamakura BD.

Tie is an OG Knottery run (the cable knit) that ties much too bulky at the top.

    Pants are Cremeiux x JPress.

    Printer is HP and sucks.

Sleeves are a touch short so my hands are stuffed in my pockets (although I'm not that self-conscious during the day -- I'm not actually *handsawkwardlyinpocketsguy*).

Shoes (unseen) are AE for BB.

Yesterday my tie was too narrow. Perils of soliciting advice from one's girlfriend, I guess.

Today's to follow when I get the chance to take a decent photo.

Broke out the double breasted blazer again for my Dad's 60th. Shoes aren't pictured but they were brown brogues.

Cheers! It's these, but in a prototype model that was slightly less tapered.

I like the entire look, Erik. The fair isle sweater looks great, too.

Could the pants come without cuffs? Serious question, although I know I could have the removed.
