The orange socks are a little cutesy for my tastes, but I think the rest of the outfit is an awesome wink to anyone who likes clothes and is paying attention. Subtlety pairing three stripes together along with shades of orange; I would have never thought to dress down such serious suit in that way. Very cool look.
Excellent, Acute - really like the green cord.
^Your pant hems have been pretty short lately. I'd recommend a little more length or a narrower leg opening. I don't mind them short if they have a good taper personally. I like the jacket a lot. It's a good length and the open quarters make you look slimmer IMO.
Koala-T, your pants are too short. I've noticed this on a few of them. With a leg opening that size, they definitely need to make solid contact with your shoes.
Honest to god, I've got like one suit that probably fits half way decent. I so seldom have the need to wear them, or the urge, that I haven't put the energy into building up my selections. I got a local Austin tailor to work up a custom MTM job for me starting around last Christmas, and the whole experience was just a nightmare, and the product was roundly lambasted in this very forum at the beginning of the summer. I'm thinking of trying out Kent Wang at the beginning of next year, just to get a staple navy suit in my closet, and see where things go from there.I'd still like to see K-T in a suit. That'll be the most slimming for him.
This jacket has more closed quarters than most of my other jackets. I could let out the hips a touch more perhaps, but I do like this jacket. What do you think of the length? He's right about the pants, but wrong about the open fronts. Search your feelings, Koala-T...
What was wrong with this tailor?Honest to god, I've got like one suit that probably fits half way decent. I think the length is spot on. The narrowness in the hips of the jacket is what I think makes you look slim. I could be wrong.Honest to god, I've got like one suit that probably fits half way decent.
