You have a few pairs of double monks? I have one pair and I think it might be too much.

I harbor a deep ambivalence about suede shoes in general, but double monks...no.

On the other hand, I don't like cuffs on my trousers, so what do I know? [IMG]

You've been pawing through my older posts, I see. Unlined jackets of any kind are an abomination of the same order as cuffs. Now, lime green socks have their applications!

I feel like it was only yesterday double monk shoes were in their golden days in the menswear community. Now, less that 2 years later, they've already been phased out. How times change. Like @Caustic Man , I only own one pair. I like them, but I don't feel the need to have multiples in different colors and different materials.

Now, I feel the split toe derby will become the next big thing among enthusiasts. I just hope they won't get the same "has been" status that double monk received 2 years later.

@Andy57 , I am pretty surprised to hear about your disdain for cuffs and unlined jackets. I respect your opinion, of course, but you've stuck me as the kind of classic gentleman to cuff his trousers to go along with the pleats and high waist. Guess I was mistaken! Still, I truly appreciate your sense of aesthetics!

Morning gents. I usually wear a green or brown tie with this jacket to emphasize the green and brown checks in the jacket. Decided to emphasize the blue today but felt it was a bit too obvious. I always try to wear a solid tie with this jacket to keep it from being too busy, but maybe green and brown are just more pleasing to the eye.

I wouldn't say they are phased out, exactly. Maybe they were the must-have item of the moment, but I wouldn't say they look dated or are somehow inappropriate for wear any longer. Personally I tend to wear them in the summer, so they haven't been out in a while.

Sorry to disappoint you! My personal dislike for cuffs is becoming well documented. Unlined jackets seem unfinished to me. We all have our quirks and foibles, I guess! [IMG]

As someone who likes CBD, I love the outfits that @Spandexter puts out on a consistent basis.
