@ThinWhiteDuke, @Causticman, Thanks for the advice! Several of my sportcoats and blazers have higher button stances, but I was reluctant to post those fits. As a theo prof, the last thing I want to be labeled is a heretic. :)

Button stance needs to be proportional. Too high or too low is not good. I don't think there is a preference for high or low here, only balanced.

In lieu of asking questions, every n00b should copy this ^^^ man as closely as possible.

If you have the bravery to copy the top knot then you deserve epic status.

That's like saying you are losing out on owning a Lexus because you are forced to drive a Pinto.

No, it's not. It's like saying you're being forced to drive a Pinto, but because of that you can save up and now have the funds to buy a Lexus. Not that being bald is equivalent to driving a Pinto.

Agree with Thin White Duke. And while you're at it, I'd look at jackets with a much higher gorge—a more classic and flattering look.

That is indeed almost as city as light gray flannel can get, especially as there's no hank. Nice.

Never the top knot. I live near Silver Lake *shuddering* and the top knot is not an enviable look...

Everything else in that getup is the tits, though...perfection.

Agreed on all counts. Copying the trends of football (soccer) players is rarely a good idea. It was mullets in the eighties and nineties and it's top knots and sleeve tats now.
