Not a fan of the high shine personally; these are slightyl less polished than I would like, but only slightly less. Will probably polish after a few more wears. That picture just really makes them appear matte.

EliodA's post was mirrored off of Foo's recent post about Sugarbutch. I think it was pretty funny.

I agree about the tie though in retrospect.

Haha, I certainly did miss that bit of tomfooery. I was off the grid for a few days and skipped a few pages of WAYWRN.

    Well played, sirrah.

Based on text, your critique is not critical enough. Prose is too purple/urban/street/krump klown.

Telegram style of writing not Wodehouse enough. Belongs in SW&D.

The word blegh makes me feel eeermp. Not bleh enough for blah and not the standard spelling at any rate.

Either your sentences are too dumb or your mind is not smart enough.

Hate yellow odd jackets in avatars, but that is one of the fewer reasons you may in fact be worse than Hitler.

    Thanx, man! @pravda

Well, that´s pretty easy: most of my stuff comes from Suit Supply, the rest is Sons of Savile Row. Those beads are Trilium Beads...

Nice lapels on the sc, @venividivicibj

The country´s back in the city (or when pheasants take off):

    SuitSupply 3pc suit
Sons of Savile Row mtm shirt
    Nordstroms tie
    Barbour jacket
    Meermin Chukkas

Melbourne Cup holiday today; me and the missus motored down to the Mornington Peninsula, to visit places I last passed through on a pushbike at the age of sixteen.

We partook of a late luncheon on the verandah at Foxey's Hideout in Red Hill, enjoying their multi-course degustation menu and bucolic vineyard setting - all washed down with an elegant sufficiency of rosé.

Scenery is as I remember it from the Pushbike Diaries: verdant, rolling hills; rustic yeomen guiding their tractors through lush pastures; a lone eagle, poised in balance on a thermal current above this gorgeous pastoral tableau.

    And Lo, the bill arrived.

...Onward, onward to the fatal shores of Bass Strait for a quick lifestyle snap, in which I pretend to have some kind of connection with boats. (In reality I am deeply indifferent to them.)

The weather is to be unseasonably mild today here in NYC, so I've eschewed hat and waistcoat for the day.

    Suit - New & Lingwood
    Shirt - Tyrwhitt
    Tie - JAB
    Cuffinks - DVVS, NYC
    Braces - Paul Stuart
    PS - Robert Talbott

That is a style quirk from New & Lingwood - they do that to all of their suit jacket sleeves, and they do working button holes for all of their RTW suits.

Love it! @Sander I admire these kinds of fits with that smooth flat chest on the jacket. I just can't get that even with mtm due to my vast chest and dumpy figure.

Just a slight aesthetic disruption on the pattern adjustment of the shoulder seam. But this is particularly harmonious ensemble!
